Body shop by Gene Cochetti was founded in 1977 by Gene Cochetti at the same location we are at today. In 1994, we expanded the auto body repair facility to meet the volume demand collision repair in the growing community. In 1990, Gene's son Chris returned from college to work in the family auto body business.
Gene and Chris currently manage the day-to-day operations of the full auto body and collision repair shop. Our full auto body repair services include: auto body repair, collision repair, dent removal, body work, frame repair, fender and bumper repair, auto painting, paintless dent removal, auto refinishing and auto glass replacement.

Don't be steered into another accident by your insurance company or the other parties insurance company. Did you know some insurance companies have ownership in some shops? Makes you wonder who the customer really is. Our shop does not participate in many of the repair networks because of the concessions or stipulations in the contracts which generally leads to a lower cost/lower quality repair.
With an eagle eye for dents and a few tools, free-lance roadside repairers offer low cost repairs. They'll be in a local shopping center parking lot and they'll say, "Hey I can fix that for you real cheap." They'll claim that they work for local well known collision shops and that they do this on the side.
This is valuable information that we freely give in order to offer the best possible service. Some insurance companies may want you to visit their drive-in claims center before having your car repaired. You can do this, or you may leave your car at our shop and ask that the insurance company inspect the car here.

I was a very demanding customer, and Chris kept his cool the entire time. It took 3 trips to the shop to address my concerns regarding the cars drivability after repairs: a drift left, a noisy wheel bearing, some fit issues on the body panels, and a slightly tilted steering wheel. Chris fixed everything except the titled steering wheel (it's two or three millimeters off lol) the car does drive straight so I can live with the steering wheel being off, but that's why I gave the shop 4 stars and not 5. High quality and efficient body work done on my 2017 Honda CRV. They have a clean and inviting waiting room, and Chris and Gene are super courteous and professional. They billed my insurance company for me and I was soon driving my car again!

I came here looking to get an estimate for a few paint touch ups for my car. The old man was EXTRAORDINARILY RUDE. He asked me in a very rude tone what I wanted. I explained to him I just wanted the paint touches up on a few areas of my car. He seemed very frustrated and annoyed every time I pointed out something new. He gave me an estimate and acted like he did not want to do the job. Luckily for him, I took my business elsewhere. I may be a young girl, but my car is my baby and he should have treated any potential customer with respect. No customer service AT ALL.

Chris, keep Gene away from customers. I read reviews before I checked out your shop and found the other reviews are true. He is still a grouchy old man and still uses demeaning lines like "What, work on that car." This shop has a great reputation for its work but there are other great shops on the peninsula that appreciate customers. Taking my muscle cars elsewhere.

Went there to get a quote on some body work for my car because of the good reviews I herd about them, went there and was approached by rude older gentleman who would not give me the time of day to awnser my questions. All I would get was "ya I know", "I'm not gonna waste my time on that ". Will definitely not bring any business to them.

Cochetti body shop is incredibly professional and trustworthy. I was very happy with my experience there. I have a '99 Tacoma pickup that I want to keep driving as long as I can. Because of a bad seal for many years, all around where the windshield gasket meets the roof was rusted badly. It had begun to leak in the rain. Chris said they could pull the windshield and grind the rust out and patch it up best they could. The work would not be warranted because it wasn't the type of repair they could guarantee would last, which I understand and accept. When I picked up my truck it was

This is a great body shop. The owner's son Chris (I think) was very professional and took care of my auto body needs for our GMC Yukon. My whole experience was hassle free and they handled all the insurance paperwork prior to my arrival. I dropped off my vehicle and placed the keys in the early drop off box. 5 days later the work was completed. Their work was spot on!! They will have my future business for now on.

Great service and great work! When my yukon lost its battle with a cement pole, I needed to get it fixed and fast. They prepared a quick estimate, got it approved by my insurance and repaired my car quickly. Made the process painless for me and my car looked brand new when I got it back. The shop is clean and professional and you feel your car will be well taken care of.
