Based on the directive by Governor Hogan and the Department of Health, our office is open for normal business hours. We are so excited to help with the dental health of our patients! We are requiring all visitors over the age of 5 to properly wear a face mask. Also, all visitors will have their temperatures checked upon arrival and health screening questions will have to be answered.

Dr. David is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and has been practicing in Maryland since 2003. He is a graduate of The University of Notre Dame and furthermore earned his D.D.S. degree at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. David completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
At Severn Pediatric Dentistry we constantly educate ourselves to stay current and we also offer the latest in dental techniques to ensure your child is receiving the best care, comfort, and safety. As a new office, we are committed to offering some of the best technology, equipment and materials available.
While it seems to make sense to have your child just visit the family dentist, a pediatric specialist understands the perspectives and needs of children. Additionally, there is a few more years of rigorous training involved at Pediatric Dental Departments and Hospitals. Here's some insight into the subject.
A toothbrush will remove plaque bacteria that can lead to decay. Any soft-bristled toothbrush with a small head, preferably one designed specifically for infants, should be used at least once a day at bedtime. In order to prevent dental problems, your child should see a pediatric dentist when the first tooth appears, or no later than his/her first birthday.

SPD is always extremely accommodating and prompt with their service. I've been taking my kids (now 8, 9, 11) there for over 2 years and have not had a negative experience. All of the staff do a great job interacting with the kids. The lobby and backroom areas are setup perfectly to keep the kids entertained and at ease with the dentist experience. Because of SPD, my kids actually like going to the dentist!😃

Severn Pediatric Dentistry is the best pediatric dentist my son has been too! We started off at a different office and moved to Severn Pediatric. This has been the best move for us. They are very patient, professional and caring! Chanel and Dr. David are the best! They always know how to make my son laugh and not be nervous. Highly recommend!!

Went in for my 5 year old daughter's molars to get fixed and walk out with my daughters FRONT TOOTH BEING PULLED!!!! THERE WAS No mention or anything about this until we saw her in recovery. When spoke with the Dr he said that my daughter tooth was so loose that it was going to fall out but we nor my daughter noticed this tooth being so loose that it needed pulled. The Dr said that the tooth had no root which from talking with family who is also in dentistry they said that's common at her age..There was also mention of her other tooth being loose but when me and my husband checked nothing else

I am beyond satisfied with the care we receive here. We have been a total of 3 times and each time has been great. Even when my kiddos have been crying and throwing fits, they don’t so much as bat an eye. Everyone is friendly, caring, and the entire office is spotless! Dr. David and Sarah are phenomenal. Dr. David takes his time and listens to concerns and explains whatever you may want/need to know. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

My toddler’s first visit was a pleasant surprise. I was worried that he would not allow anyone to touch him/his teeth but he was much more relaxed than I expected. The receptionist, Dr. Soe, and the assistant were very polite and kind to us. The office is bright, clean, and quiet. We were in and out in 30 minutes. I also love that they prioritize young children for morning appointments, when they’re more likely to be cooperative and well rested. I’m so glad I found them.
