Services
Children's Dentistry at Odenton is your neighborhood pediatric dentist. We would be "honored" to be part of your child's growing years, creating beautiful smiles. Dr. Maria Carmela Guevara-Arreza, also known as Dr. G, as her staff and patients call her, has been setting the highest standards of excellence in pediatric dentistry since 1995.
Our patients are seen by appointment only and are scheduled to make the most of your time. We reserve a specific time for your child, and we make every effort to see you at the appointed time. Unexpected delays to the schedule may occur and your patience is greatly appreciated. Each child may require more time than others, and we ask for your understanding in that your child may be the next one needing extra attention.
Payment is expected at the time treatment is rendered, unless special arrangements have been made prior to your child's dental appointment. We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. Our office accepts payments by cash, checks, and Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards. If you have any questions about payment, ask us!
Your child won't keep his or her first teeth forever, but that doesn't mean those tiny pearly whites don't need conscientious care. Maintaining your child's dental health now will provide health benefits well into adulthood, as primary (baby) teeth serve some extremely important functions. For one thing, primary teeth serve as guides for the eruption of permanent (adult) teeth, holding the space into which these new teeth will erupt.
New parents have plenty to worry about: making sure their baby is healthy and happy, re-arranging their lives around hectic schedules and lost sleep, and figuring out what to do in all sorts of novel situations. When it comes to your child's oral health, though, there's plenty of help available. It all begins at our office, when you bring your youngster in for his or her first visit to the dentist.

This is a long due review. We've been seeing Dr. G and her staff for over 9 years! My 6 children have been well taken care of over the years; their teeth are beautiful. Dr. G and her staff have the most caring and gentle approach with all of my children---ALWAYS! The kids are always scheduled together, and I appreciate this so much, as it makes our lives so much easier with ages 2,4, 6, 8, 10, and 12! We were sad to have canceled for the first time a couple of weeks ago, but looking forward to rescheduling to see Dr. G! Also, the kids enjoyed bringing their 1 lb each of candy after trick or treating

The whole staff is amazing! We have been at this practice for about 7 years. I have three kids and they all have prefect teeth thanks to Dr G!! The front staff is fast and friendly! They recognize us as soon as we walk in! Never a wait and every 6 months I get a call, email or text reminders of thier cleaning appointments. Today I took my soon to be 3 year to get a tooth filled. I was preparing for a fight with her! But nope Dr G and her assistant were outstanding! My daughter was so comfortable!

This rating is based on the experience with the front desk. The technicians were great, and I have had very little experience with the actual dentist. After a missed appointment (I know, my bad), I inquired about our missed appointment fee. Since I showed up only one hour late and it was our first missed appointment, the receptionist said our fee would be waived (Great customer service, I would say). On our rescheduled visit my partner took in our child and was charged a $70 missed appointment fee. When I went in to inquire, I told the receptionist (different than the one that had helped me before

If you want bad service, an ignorant receptionist, and dentist who is just as arrogant and doesn’t really care about your kid and only the $$ this is the place for you!
My son has had a decaying tooth since our initial visit 4 months ago. They told me it needs to be extracted, I’ve returned 2 times since for “follow ups” and they have YET to schedule the percedure at the hospital. My sons tooth is now INFECTED with NO date one schedule YET.
If you hate your insurance company and your kids best well being isn’t in mind, this office is the perfect office for your needs.
