On a Saturday afternoon, I called every place in the area and none were as friendly, nor as helpful as Jay Shapiro. I went to multiple locations in the Upper East side who simply told me what I was asking could not be done.
Jay was very personable, I gave him a call on 1/25/2020 and he was polite, knowledgeable, and professional. I explained what I needed done to my laptop, and although he wasn't available (he was with his family) he got a hold of someone who was nearby and let me know that they would take care of me. Jay Shapiro has done extensive computer consulting for me over the last few years. He is excellent. Examples include recommending and installing outlook, restoring and protecting my computer. He has also been a patient tutor, teaching me how to scan and attach as well as how to text. His backup technicians are very knowledgeable and helpful. Their names are Mark, Brian, and Michael.

Above and beyond! Server crashes right before Christmas vacation! As soon as I returned, had to find a replacement. Found Jay's number online. Called his service. He called me back within 15 minutes! Recovered ALL my information! Replaced my defective hard drive with an SSD and reinstalled the operating system. Even helped me networking. He is the best! Having him replace my hard drive in another computer next week. Highly recommended. Any small business owner should have Jay in his corner!

I was recently hacked and locked out of my home personal computer. I found Jay Shapiro Computers online and called him immediately. I was concerned that I would lose all my documents, pictures, etc. He set my mind at ease and assured me that he could save everything. Although I was skeptical, having already been burned, I brought my computer over to him. He could have accessed my computer remotely but being locked out he could not gain access to the internet. This service is prompt, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. I had a great experience with them. Even though I had to change the appointment several times they were flexible, accommodating and, most of all, they fixed our computer!! Jay Shapiro Computers at 1313 Third Avenue is a disgrace & a scam operation & anyone who calls them is putting their computer & any electronic equipment in JEOPARDY. My experience which was devastating & downright abominable uncovers the scam that Jay Shapiro Computers is about. I called them to fix something & the scam is that they will fix it BUT while you're not looking they inflict & infect your computer with an unauthorized program or loggin as they did with my computer to generate your business they will foul up your computer with a virus or an authorized program

A little trouble at first getting hold of Jay but he really came through in the end! He refreshed my old computer and hopefully no need for a new one for some time to come. 2 months later the virus attacked!!! I was out of town and Jay was still able to get into my computer and fix the problem. Hooray for Jay!!!

I met Jay and he told me about his business. I was excited to engage him because my MacBook Pro was running very slowly. He came to my house, worked on my Mac for two hours and had to run to another appt. He was not done, but told me he could finish remotely. So I foolishly paid him for a third hour of work (total approx $285). I heard nothing from him. No call back, no email asking me if my computer was running better NOTHING. So I sent him an email, saying "my computer was not fixed and I wanted him to deliver on his commitment". He told me it was "fixed" and that
