American Heritage Homes
Our company has been family owned and operated since 1947 - three generations, but our family heritage in the area dates to Colonial times. Our new homes have old-fashioned craftsmanship and care mixed with modern luxuries and designs individually crafted for each homeowner. Both a land developer and a new home builder, we take pride in creating communities and homes in locations that we would love to live in ourselves (and actually do!).

We love living in Fredericksburg. It's wonderful to be able to get out and enjoy the civil war history of the area while also being able to come home to a quiet neighborhood that's peaceful and serene. We're big fans of the natural environment and work hard to preserve the gorgeous trees on our home sites and throughout our communities.

In late June 2019, we spoke with Roger and Marilyn in the sales office. They are responsive, friendly, and assisted us with questions we had.
We look forward to working with them in the future!

Have had the same issues as William...and more! I’ve built 2 homes in the past-This is the first home I’ve built with American Heritage. I’ve never had the amount of issues I’ve had with these builders. Never came back to completely fix items on punch list, told good help is hard to find and we “paid for the land and community” and have had severe issues within a year and just after the year warranty. In any situation, I’ve had to constantly contact regarding fixes, wouldn’t show up, and had to fight to get items fixed. Poor workmanship and don’t want to be accountable. The major

Months spent working on a contract, traveling back and forth from North Carolina to Virginia. After we had signed the contract and could finally relax, American Heritage Homes emailed us asking for $40,000 more dollars in order for them to ratify the already signed contract. So much time wasted with this company. Please tread carefully working with them. Their prices mean nothing, even base pricing. Their base house is not a house anyone would want, coming standard with the cheapest of materials (flooring, cabinets, trim, appliances... etc.) Therefore you are forced to upgrade, even paying extra
