At Alta Vista Rehabilitation Centre, we are committed to developing clinical programs focused on meeting the specific needs of patients in our West Los Angeles Community. Working with local physicians and other medical professionals, we established programs addressing patient needs in areas of Stroke/ Neuro Trauma Recovery, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Rehabilitation.
We care for a wide range of patients and a full spectrum of medical conditions and needs. Our professional nurses and nursing assistants, in partnership with the patient's physician, provide care for the whole patient. Working hand-in-hand, the nurses and our in-house therapists provide care that is consistent with each patient's ability to recover.

At Alta Vista Rehabilitation Centre, it is our nursing staff that make all the difference. We are committed to provide you quality medical care with responsiveness, courtesy and gentleness. From intensive short term rehabilitation therapy to longer-term restorative care, our Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provide a full range of services to treat each of our residents.
My name is Mary and I have been here since 2005. I have no complaints with this facility and am very pleased with the service given here at Alta Vista. They do an amazing job with activities and keeping all the residents having fun! They have uplifted my spirits many times with their social skills and fun personalities.

A relative was here and they never turned him and their bedsore got worse. They wouldn't let me take pictures of it for our records. Their evaluation of him was not true. He wasn't able to sit up or eat on his own, but the paperwork said he could. Which was a lie. Never leave your family member here unattended because they WILL neglect them.

My father-in-law was tranferred to this facility by a horrible, uncaring physician named Joel Pengson. The staff routinely yells and uses foul language directed at the patients and will ignore their requests for assistance for an hour or more. We forced Pengson to move him but the next facility was run by the same company and was no better than this terrible place. When he was transferred his possessiong didn't go with him and we have been trying to track them down since. His wallet was found in a nurses cart but his social security card was missing. At Alta Vista my mother is always clean, well-dressed, warm, and well fed. If there are any problems with ang clients, I have not seen it and I a nurse myself for over 35 years. I like this place a lot - so do my sisters. They also keep the facilities clean and the see after any wounds that the patients may have. I have not found anything negative about Alta Vista. I just wish that doctors actually sit & talk with the patients DPOA.

To start off, I do not write reviews. But, I am so thankful and impressed by Alta Vista Healthcare I felt the need to do so. The care there was exceptional, I was informed at all times about my care and any changes. The managers checked in with me almost daily! Rehab gym is big and even treated me on the weekend. I am thankful my doctor referred me to this place.

All they will do is try to kill your family member! About 90% of the nurses there do not even watch over their patients! They wouldn't even call 911 when my family member was having multiple seizures. If I wouldn't have my family member would have DIED! One of the worst places! The Ombudsman will be contacted! Believe that!

This fantastic facility eases the pain of a difficult and traumatic experience. I can only describe the staff as nurturing, caring and loving. They treat the patients as if they were their own family member. The numerous times I visited, I never saw patients unattended to. The nurses were quick to offer any assistance and the rooms were immaculate. The dining room was clean and the food looked great. I even met the Administrator who was quite lovely and receptive. It was pleasantly unexpected! This is a wonderful home for your loved one, whether short or long term.
