Furious. Took one of my fur babies there 12/24/21 and diagnosis was ear infection and some kind of allergy affecting the skin. Went back today because. she looks worse than she did a week ago. Found out that ringworm has been in the building since last Friday. Needless to say 1 of my 2 fur babies has ring worm. My other fur baby is perfectly fine. Will NOT be going back.

My review for this place is way over due. This place is the best I had to go in the early morning hours Dec. 2020 for my Beagle. She was in so much pain. Dr. Jennifer Welsh had to do emergecny surgery on my Beagle to remove spleen and tumor. Thank you I got to keep my baby girl. Well again Dec. 19, 2021 My Beagle was in pain so off to see the Dr. again it was Jennifer Welsh. My baby hurt her back. She is doing better with her medication. I just want to say thank to the Doctors and staff. They are all professional, polite. They go above and beyond to help your fur baby. Thank you for what you all

In general, Swansboro Animal hospital is very sweet and took great care of my babies. However.. Dr. Gutroff (the male doctor) was very cold and didn’t explain any of the take home instructions/medications to me, I was constantly asking so many questions to get through to him and get the information I needed. I was balling in my car and he seemed to have no sympathy for me or my cat. I felt like just another person bringing in their animal. However, my baby was in and out of their vet for 5 days where he also saw two other female doctors who I absolutely loved. They were super sympathetic, understanding

The staff is very polite and take detailed notes. Without us even asking they had given our older dog an orthopedic bed to lay on while he was waiting to see the vet. We have had our cat here as well and again the are very professional and caring! We have used another facility in Jacksonville NC and were not impressed. Swansboro Animal Hospital is the only place we take our pets for after hours care!

Our Toby unexpectedly became ill late in the evening and the staff quickly got him back to be cared for. The doctor kept my husband informed on what was going on and was very honest with him how serious the situation was. Unfortunately, he did not make it. The staff were very caring and compassionate the entire time. A few weeks later we received a beautiful sympathy card from the office, which was such a kind gesture. This was a very difficult experience, but the staff's kindness was a light in a dark time.
Toby was the sweetest and most amazing dog, and had been my nine year old's best buddy

We are so appreciative of this place and the wonderful people who work here! We brought our ferret in tonight and are SO pleased with the care and treatment given. The people here are respectful and thorough. They are so kind and took the time to answer all of our questions -and there were a LOT! Our sweet Tuvia is in good hands and we are so appreciative to have a place like this nearby to give us piece of mind and treatment so late at night (I wouldn't have been able to sleep until he was seen)! Thank you, Swansboro Animal Hospital for taking care of our baby like he was your own!!!

Absolutely amazing staff and service, they were very friendly and informative, my pup went very willingly even tho she knew where she was at. They kept me informed every step of the way and answered every question to the best of their knowledge. I was very happy with the results of everything and how well they handled my pup. Will be going there for every animal emergency I have.!!! (Photo of my pup waiting to get cleaned and stitched up.)

We took my husband's dogs Buddy to this vet last night and the staff was amazing. Bud loves people, but is terrified of being alone without my husband. When we went last night we had to stay in the car, but Bud went with the nurse easily and seemed totally at ease with her.
While we waited in the car we got frequent updates and were assured that Bud was comfortable and was getting lots of love. When he came back out he was calm and at ease.
I wholeheartedly reccomend this place to anyone who has an emergency with a pet that's afraid of the vet.
