Mal's Service Center does excellent work with auto body repair.. I have had more than 1car get worked on and the results were excellent. Mal Jr is a truly skilled leader and businessman. I recommend anyone with auto body needs to go to Mal's service center. I also get my tires at Mal's and Richie is a very smart and knowledgeable businessman as well. I highly recommend Mal's for tires too!

This is about the Arlington location. It's also about the repair shop and not the auto body shop. I have encountered rudeness at the auto body shop but not at the auto repair shop. the latter has friendly personalized service with employees that remember who you are and really care about making sure you get sufficient repairs at a reasonable price. When I leave, I feel good about the experience every time. These are great people!

Drop my car off on short notice Monday, luckily I had good timing. Needed a bumper, grill, and driver side headlight. They finished before the weekend. Friday evening I got it :)
Checked everything, the car was detailed, paint looked great, super happy, but turns out they forgot to replace a cover under the hood. I mentioned it and the took care of me immediately. A couple clips later, on my way..Very kind and mostly friendly my whole experience. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for good, quality service.

My daughter’s car was unable to start. Mal’s mechanic Rich charged her $80 CASH ONLY to look under the hood, and told her that it was her alternator or a spark plug.
She then had the car towed, and when she had it serviced, ( For $45) they found out that the anti theft switch had deactivated the motor. Thank you for stealing money from my daughter, and being unable to diagnose her car trouble correctly.

Excellent service, friendly crew, and reasonable prices! Came here once for a second opinion. They were much cheaper and I've stuck with them since! Recognized regulars and will give you a ride to and from a reasonable distance.

My gf and I went in to pick up my car from Mals Servicecenter in Lexington MA and I have never had such an unprofessional racist experience. Picking up your car from a tow company should not be a hassle. So I first walked in and I said hi, and informed the guy at the front desk(Bob) I was here to pick up my car. From the beginning he came off rude with abrupt questions. As they were processing my information, he stepped to the back office. As I was waiting, a female employeerepeatedly looked at me while turning around whispering as she looked at a piece of paper. So I am wondering, why is she whispering

Went here for an inspection sticker and the guy helping me was very short and would not give me a time estimate on how long I would have to wait. When my car was done the sticker was put on crooked and the old glue was still stuck on below it. The one thing to do was put the sticker on straight but they couldn’t even do that. I am not going back to this place.

The only person more incompetent than the mechanics at Mal's is I: I decided to take my 2008 Prius there even after reading all the horrendous reviews. But it was only to switch the snow tires back to the regular ones. What could go wrong?

We were told that the car would be drivable. It was not, in fact, drivable. The manager has yet to return my letter. I will be continuing to follow up with this as his work was truly disgusting and he really took advantage of us. Do not take your car here. They will lie to you, take advantage of you, and then refuse to return your calls.

I can't speak to the quality of Mal's bodywork, but I'm sick and tired of the way Mal's staff runs roughshod over the citizens of Arlington Heights, particularly its pedestrians. On two occasions I have been walking by the Mal's garage and had the driver of a massive tow truck acknowledge my presence then proceed to back his giant truck onto Mass Ave while I patiently waited to cross the driveway. Isn't it customary to yield to pedestrians when those pedestrians are on a sidewalk? It's bad enough when some dope backs out without looking, but in this case the Mal

I brought my 1997 Ford Explorer in for some pretty major repairs because another mechanic did a less than par job, and he couldn't even finish the given tasks within a 2 month span (that's right - 2 months...)
I explained my situation to Richie, the Head of the Auto Repair division. He completely understood my situation, and he told me straight up that he does not like to take business away from other mechanics. I

I have had nothing but horrible experiences with this company. They did terrible work on my car, then even though I have a reciept that says my bill is paid, they called me SIX months later to tell me that the person working the desk didn;t know what they were doing and forgoto to charge my card, and then they chraged my card again, even though I told them that I paid with CHECK after they screwed upthe credit card stuff. Now I have to fight with them to ge my $400 back!!
