I'm Olga, a professional photographer based in Northfield IL, serving the Chicago North Shore and surrounding areas. I am a mom to two kids (boy and girl), 2 dogs, and 3 chickens and I am absolutely in love with the art of photographing children and their families. My passion for photography sparked when I was just a kid myself, watching my dad take pictures and develop the film in our bathtub.
A woman is never more beautiful than when she is carrying a tiny life inside of her! I will help you capture this special time in your life by creating timeless images of you in an outdoor or studio setting. Maternity sessions are usually done between 28-36 weeks of gestation. Since each woman carries differently, I will help you decide when would be the ideal time for your session.
I prefer to photograph families outdoors or in their homes, to capture the most natural interactions. However, when the weather is cold, I can accommodate a family in the studio for a few shots along side a child's session. Studio newborn sessions should be scheduled as early as possible. Preferably while you are in your second trimester.
My sessions are really easy-going, relaxed, and playful so you definitely don't want to be overdressed and be afraid to get the clothing dirty or wrinkled. The key is to dress for the location. Also, keep in mind that clothing with logos, graphics, very busy patterns (stripes) and bright colors (especially: red, bright yellow, orange, or hot pink) tend to detract from the actual subject.
I just had to call you and say Thank You. Oh my god, these pictures are so precious, so priceless. You are so unbelievably gifted and talented, I hope you know that! I know I'm a little bit biased judging by the subjects, but I work with photographers all the time, and so I see photos all the time and these are just to die for.

I had just brought my adopted son home and wanted to get some professionally done pictures with him and my daughter. Since their ages were 19 months and 5, it wasn't easy to get them to listen and smile but Olga had a lot of energy and kept coming up with new ideas. I was sweating at the end of it and was sure there weren't going to be any decent photos since they were so difficult.

Olga recently captured the most beautiful maternity pictures for me when I was 35 weeks pregnant. She supplied three gorgeous maternity gowns, chose the location, and ensured every shot was perfect. We've been using Olga for almost 5 years. She always captures the best images. She's great at getting the kids to sit still and get the shots you are looking for. We've used her for newborn photos too. And she does amazing newborn photos. She's patient (even when you have a screaming child) and takes her time to make sure everything is perfect. I highly recommend her for any of your family photos.

Olga with Gleam did an amazing job with my daughter's 5th birthday photo shoot. It felt very natural and relaxing. We were lucky with the light and weather but the majority of the magic was in how she captured tender moments and translated them into beautiful pictures. Olga Dukach is wonderful to work with! We have done three photo shoots with her and she is absolutely great and with babies too. Olga is professional, has great taste and is also a very nice person.
