I was told by my urologist; I would need to take Terazosin for life for my BOH symptoms (groin pain). I have not needed to take Terazosin for groin pain since approximately 2013. I believe NUCCA chiropractic treatments have relieved my cervical and lumbar vertebrae subluxations, creating proper nerve flow to my groin.

I hadn’t gone to a chiropractor in years, and when I walked by the HLC office on Clement Street, I couldn’t help noticing how clean, bright, and inviting it was. So I stopped in. After a brief consultation, I set up an appointment to address the symptoms I’d been experiencing lately. Definitely not for everyone -- read up on NUCCA before making an appointment. Initial consultation was expensive and involved x-rays, and recommended treatment was lengthly and expensive. I ended up resolving the issue with an insurance approved traditional chiropractor. With some stretching and a few adjustments the issue was resolved and has not come back

I was recommended to Dr. Meakim by Dr. M. Chan from NEMS in Chinatown. They use the NUCCA method - no crack crack snap here. Dr. Meakim has been a joy to work with. We started my treatment right before March 13th 2020. They have been treating me since, x2 a week. I have been unable to sleep well at night for 2 years while lying on my back. There was a dull pain on my left hip and a numb and tingling feeling down my entire left leg whenever I would lie down on my back to sleep. I had to sleep on my left or right side and I would wake up every 2.5 hours. Because I was not sleeping well, I felt so tired during the day and had to take a nap in the afternoon. Pushy and cult like I do not recommend them at all. I went during an open house type event. I told them during the initial consultation appointment that I wasn't interested. Now I get phone calls, mailings, and straight up they use scare tactics in them "you only have 40% of your mobility." Total nonsense and so damn pushy. During your first visit they have you sit in a room by yourself and watch a testimonial video about how great it is, that contained not one iota of hard data, scientific proof, evidence, before and after x-rays. No one in that video talked about how it didn't work, very unsettling

As a skeptic of chiropractors, I delayed going to SF Family Spinal Care for two years after my initial (and very nice) introduction. With increasing back and neck pain from a lifetime of enjoying outdoor sports, I finally returned to address those issues.
Three months into my treatments, my back and neck truly ache less. The crackling in my neck is also reduced, and I'm on the path to better health. I enjoy the friendliness of the staff and the positive office atmosphere.
