The Essence Suites

I was expecting the rooms to be bigger than what it was speacial my seeing I was supposed to be in the super essence suit but wasn’t nothing super about it and i seen ants crawling on the bed while I was sleeping and it’s 20 degrees outside! They can use some upgrading and definitely not worth the price their charging!

Good location, good customer service, customer service was good. The front desk has pretty decent add ons to help make the trip romantic.

Had a two night stay room was very nice and clean the manager and staff was very helpful bed very Comfortable the mood was just right can’t wait to come back great job.

Looking for a romantic evening away from it all this is the place from friendly staff to cozy rooms me and my wife had a great time dont forget the strawberries they are delicious. The wife and I embarked on a horse back expedition as well as full body massages not to mention that enormous hot tub lord have mercy i give them more stars but only go to 5 thank you essence for making our stay one we will remember

They have great customer service at the front desk and they are very helpful. The room was great I had the super essence suite and it had everything it said it had. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a mini getaway

I've been going to the Orland Park location for years now, and normally have a great time. However, last night we arrived for our stay in what was supposed to be the larger Super Essence Suite, which I almost always reserve, and when they gave us our room it was clearly just the Suite with the love seat. They claimed it's still a Super Essence Suite "because it has the same amenities" but that's a complete lie. I've stayed in both rooms before so I know the differences. The room is tiny in comparison. There's no way they should be charging me, or anyone else the full price of a Super Essence Suite

Hi it was very good customer service. But I had one problem for my first time the room need to be clean better it was a lot of spiders in my room and I left before check out because the bed was hard and very uncomfortable need to upgrade that room especially the one I was sleeping in it was my birthday it wasn't set up right not for a surprise birthday I feel like I waste my money to me I want be back know time soon u have to show me my room before I check in if I come back I am a honest person. To say I was disappointed when I walked into the room would have been an understatement. Despite the advertising on their website, there were no mirrors surrounding the bed or any surface that was not near the hot tub. The wall behind the bed had paint peeling. The wall near the painting next to the door had cracked drywall. The smoke detector was not installed. The closest thing to a "stock your own wet bar" to be found was the compartment underneath the sink next to the broken smoke detector. There was no place to store clothing or personal effects besides the clothes hook on the back

Very nice. Great get away with your significant other when you want to celebrate a Birthday, Anniversary, or get your freak on. The office had from scented candles down edible gel to make your night a memorable one. You just have to visit to see for yourself❤❤🔥🔥

It's nice but can definitely use some help. The room needs to be cleaned way better. The floor did not seem to be cleaned in a long time and finger prints all over the mirrors. The room also smelled of cigarettes 🤢, I'm glad I brought a small scented candle.

Shut this place down a housekeeper stole 400 from my bf pants pocket they told us to call Monday we left Saturday called Monday they gave us the run around about the manger not there and told us to call Tuesday and we called them they told us she was running late call back in a hour so ten min go by she calls my bf back and tell him that he signed a wavier saying if anything comes up lost or stole that they are not responsible for it so I called her back to have her explain how can one of your employee steal 400 and/or not responsible for it she said this matter is not between me and you its between

I was switched to 3 different Rooms the 1st room head blood on the bed the 2nd room they did not have a plug for the jet tub, The TV did not work and there was hair in the steam shower The 3rd room had hair in the jetted tube had a dirty towel from the previous people hanging in the bathroom after all the towel that were to be used by us were dirty is dirty the soundbar did not work The TV remote did not work just an overall horrible experience. It was our first time here (for our anniversary) and the Super Suite room was really, really nice! It is an extremely romantic setting with rose petals on the floor, a huge bed with a very comfortable mattress, a huge steam shower, and a large jacuzzi tub. The free pizza from Papa Joe's was good even though it was not shaped like a heart as promised. However, the chocolate covered strawberries were amazing and made up for the pizza. We will DEFINITELY be returning and would highly recommend Essence Suites for anyone looking to celebrate any romantic occasion!

By far the worst place I have stayed! First room they put us in the air conditioning wasn't working. Second room the out us in was a horrible smell and extremely dirty! The one night we stayed the bed was so uncomfortable and the smell. I literally haven't experienced anything like it! I'm not the type to complain but it wasn't clean at all nor comfortable. I rarely write reviews. But this is my second website for this hotel. Wife booked us a room to stay in last night and we did not even stay. First room did not have a key card so the front desk said we had to stop by the office whenever we come back so the maintenance guy could come open the door. We fill up the hot tub and turn on the jets and flying out comes these little black things. Thankfully we werent in the tub. We tell front desk and the only solution was to move us to another room. No concern or apologies to what that was in the hot tub. And the tiles were practically all loose. Move to

Reservations made in December for 13-14 of February, rate changed in January by 150.00! I selected there largest room. As I had experienced November 25th. I was put in there smaller rooms without notice not even when I checked in. I complained and was moved to a room that was slightly larger. This room had ants and what should have been a whirlpool turned out to be a non working jacuzzi! By this time it was 3 below zero and was done moving around! Needless to say we will never go back! I still got engaged!

Wife and I were looking for a nice getaway Labor Day weekend and I surprised her with a visit here. Emailed Essence with a stiff proposition and, thankfully, they had an opening we could squeeze in to. The package we got included a heart shaped pizza from Papa Joe's which tickled my wife pink. The hotel is slightly on the older side and needs some updates but was impeccably clean and maintained. If I can rate this place a 0 I would. The pictures online are very misleading. Where do I start...... my fiancé and I arrived and checked in at 7:30pm. Upon entering the room, the room had a moldy old smell. Secondly, the fire place was not working. The maintenance person and manager attempted to fix but could not. That alone took a hour of our time, so by this time it's almost 9pm. The manager stated that he will credit $50 and allow us to checkout at 12 instead of 11 because there were no other rooms available. The jacuzzi tub was so filthy and disgusting they were unable to use it. The Essence Suites needs to be reported especially with Covid-19 cleanliness should #1 on their list but its the complete opposite. I emailed the manager w/pics and asked them

This was perhaps the worst experience we've had at an overnight establishment in years. The room smelled strongly like smoke & weed. I called the front desk and was told "yeah, we know. We've already made a note. You won't be charged for smoking." My concern wasn't the charge it was the fact I made sure we had a non-smoking room. The room was outdated and disgustingly filthy. The bed was ripped, the walls were crumbling, and the toilet was filthy. Those were just some of the issues. I would not recommend coming here until the rooms are updated and cleaned with

The room was a little out dated. The fire place didn't work and I recommend you bring cleaning supplies to wash out the tub for your own safety.

However, we were conveniently around a lot of restaurants and other stores within short miles of the Essence. Nonetheless, it was a good experience.
