BEC provides a variety of environmental services to our CLIENTS, including: direct technical support through data collection, research, and report preparation; public engagement through education and outreach; and oversight or management of environmental projects and programs. BEC's multi-disciplinary TEAM includes degreed professionals in various fields, including, but not limited to: accounting, biology, business administration, computer science, environmental science, geology, political science, public safety, systems management and taxation. The Louis Berger Group, Inc. contracted BEC Environmental, Inc. (BEC) to provide biological opinion and compliance support for the construction of Phase 2.
Services
Eileen Christensen is the Principal for BEC Environmental, Inc., which she founded in 2002. She has more than 25 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety consulting. During that time, she has served as Project Manager for a variety of environmental projects for local, state, federal, and foreign governments and private industry.
BEC is honored and excited to be recognized as the winner of the 2020 Nevada Business Magazine Family Owned Business Don't Forget to Share Award for Southern Nevada. Eileen, Principal of BEC, was honored to be selected as the "Woman of Distinction" for the STEM category at the 2018 Women of Distinction Awards luncheon presented by the Southern Nevada National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
The Louis Berger Group, Inc. contracted BEC Environmental, Inc. (BEC) to provide biological opinion and compliance support for the construction of Phase 2 of the Interstate 11 Boulder City Bypass Project. The 12-mile highway project connects the existing U.S. Highway 93/95 from Las Vegas directly to the O'Callaghan-Tillman Memorial Bridge.
BEC Environmental, Inc. (BEC) helped establish the Nye County Brownelds Program in 2002. BEC was contracted by Nye County to manage various brownelds projects for the County as well as the Rural Desert Southwest Brownelds Coalition (RDSBC). These projects have been funded through grant awards from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP).
