Great spot for a lovely italian dinner! We got the pesto penne, pollo piccata, pork ribeye, and the pasta special with shrimp. Every dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. Our waitress was very kind and helped us choose a nice bottle of red to compliment the meal. Highly recommend and will be going again soon.

Not happy. Since when is chicken Milanese served with potatoes and cabbage? And a dried out Napoleon for dessert? For years this was my go to place in Hudson for when I wanted to believe I could be in Europe - delicious northern Italian dishes, exquisite service and attention to ambiance. What happened?

My wife and I have been to this restaurant twice. Both times my wife's entree arrived over 10 minutes later than mine. The second time the waitress apologized and said we wouldn't be charged for her entree. However, after receiving the check, the charge was still there and the waitress denied she said earlier that we would not be charged. Totally unacceptable service. We will never return and not recommend this restaurant to any of our many friends.

My wife and our three year old daughter enjoyed an excellent seven course meal with a bottle of our fav single-vineyard Barbaresco wines, opened for a generous corkage fee.
If I rave about how great the food is alone I may fail to mention how genuine, warm, and attentive the staff and management are.
Ca’mea nails the perfect balance of fine dinning In a niche, down to earth town.
If you’re in Hudson, you can’t not come here. Period.

We came for the absolute best Christmas Eve menu I’ve ever had. Not only was this the best meal I’ve enjoyed at Ca’mea but the best menu I’ve seen for a holiday. I really cannot thank them enough if I had one thing to say is the service could’ve been a bit more welcoming but other than that it was perfect.

We arrived without a reservation with the expectation of being turned away however once we told the hostess that it was our anniversary, she sprung into action and set up a cute table for two outside! Our waitress however clearly didn’t like this and was visibly upset. She made it clear to us that she wanted to go home so it was a bit uncomfortable.
The food portions were as expected for a fancy restaurant however my wife wanted some mozzarella cheese on the gnocchi and they charged an extra $3.50 FOR A SPRINKLE….That was just a bit insane! A bowl of mozzarella yes, but for a pinch? Kinda

Had the clam linguini and it was super yummy! especially paired with their chardonnay. pro tip: ask for a but of extra olive oil and pour it on top. the flourless chocolate cake, however, was one of the best desserts i've ever put in my mouth. with vanilla cream to balance the sweetness - incredible. cute place and the back patio was great on a fall evening. the Venetian cocktail is also very worth checking out.

Was a busy Saturday night, but got a walk in seat at the bar. Food was very good and the imported mozzarella was some of the best I've had outside of Italy. If you like red wine, definitely try the Primitivo!

Weirdly bad. A shame cause it's highly rated but for whatever reason, the service wasn't great. The impression we got was that they're understaffed, and I'm imagining that for the cost of the food the staff is probably underpaid, which of course leads to resentment, which of course leads to a bad experience for customers. I highly doubt the wait staff are colluding or incompetent - our waitress knew the entire menu off the top of her head. Anyway, for the prices, the food wasn't anything to write home about. Desserts were pretty good, boar pasta was meh. Pasta itself cooked perfectly but just kinda

I literally, (and I'm using this word correctly), had the worst / most expensive meal l've had in years!

It was highly recommended, packed with a chic crowd, beautiful ambiance, etc., so what could possibly go wrong?

Well, it started when the hostess lead my wife and me through the cozy dining room into an adjacent empty room, where it appears the hotel serves coffee and breakfast.

We sat alone in silence - so lonely, I had to get up to find our server twice.

Then I ordered the recommended $24 Caesar salad with shrimp. I'm not sure if the yellow wilted lettuce tasted worse

The gnocchi was some of the best I've had. The atmosphere was chic and friendly. Just the right amount of dressy. Everything we tried was excellent.

Very disappointing. After being seated it took 20 minutes for someone to ask if we wanted water. We then ordered drinks, Iced Tea and a Glass of wine. A table of 5 who were seated after us received their drinks. My husband & I sat in this restaurant for 40 minutes and still did not receive our drinks and no sign of the food we ordered. During busy lunch hours they needed more staff. Had to cancel order.

I was worried when I sat down, because there were packets of salt and pepper on the table. You don't even see that in a diner. Fortunately, the food exceeded the extremely low expectations they set. Service was frustratingly inconsistent, which was a loss for the restaurant - we would have ordered more wine if they were more attentive.

Started with the mozzarella caprese. It was a large hunk of mozzarella, about half the size of a softball with a big sprig of basil sticking out. It came with 3 tomato slices, half way decent considering we're 8 weeks from tomato season. The mozzarella

Great drinks and apps spots. Would recommend this place for wine and maybe a shared appetizer with dessert.

Small selection for wines by the glass but they offer a full bar. Try the flourless chocolate tart. HEAVEN ON A HAT STAND (for all my Blinkers)

Stopped here for lunch before going to the Olana State Historic Site. The restaurant is nice and cozy.

We started with calamari which were amazing! Very tender and delicious.

My husband had linguini Vongole and it was good. Fresh and delicious clams. But the sauce was too salty.

I had homemade pappardelle with wild mushrooms. The pasta was very good. But the dish lacked that flavor you usually expect from wild mushrooms and it was under-seasoned.

Overall, we had a good time at this restaurant and the service was amazing!

Pros: great food - from the piadini, to the house ravioli & the daily special lamb chops were amazing!
Cons: Wait time to receive each item in the order was extraordinarily long - esp since 2 or 3 parties who were seated way after us were served their entrees before our appetizer had even arrived...felt like they'd forgotten about our order or something.
They comped us a glass of wine as an apology - but because of the delay we didn't have time to get dessert, which we'd really been looking forward to but couldn't enjoy since we had to rush home to attend to an older relative

I don't understand all the 5 star reviews. We had an average Italian dinner. House salad was $14 and tiny. Fish of the day was salmon with a small side of vegetable of the day for $35. Chicken parm with small side of pasta was $28. The prices are way out of line for portion size and quality. I am a chicken parm fanatic and this was sooo meh. I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Great location and nice ambience inside and out, however the food is lacking and overpriced. So many better options

My husband and I came here on a Saturday while we were visiting Hudson Valley for the week. They are offering both indoor and outdoor dining right now, and staff wear masks.
We took a table outside, and were given waters and menus right away. We ordered the calamari to start, and two pasta mains. The calamari was cooked in a tomato sauce, and was pleasant.
The two pasta mains were okay, but nothing amazing.
Staff were polite and efficient.

I visited Hudson last month, my friends and I called Ca'mea to make a reservation. Over the phone they explained it's on a walk-in basis no reservation- so my friends and I made our way over. There was an older gentleman who as soon as he saw us (group of mixed people black, white hispanic and Asian) he immediately denied us a table saying there closing soon. No biggie... but we knew very well why he denied the table.

I was in Hudson again this past weekend, since last time I called they stated no reservation. We just went and asked for a table.

The hostess said do you have a reservation

You want to meet the nastiest person in all of Hudson? Then come to Ca'mea! She treats u like a dog and not in a fun way.

I live in manhattan and understand restaurants get busy and sometimes the staff has to be short since they have a lot going on. But this hostess (maybe owner?) is a NIGHTMARE. She made me feel so unwelcome and like I was bothering her to try and get a table. She said the place was booked...even though it wasn't.

We got the a couple dishes and salad, the food was good but not mind blowing.

There are so many nice places in Hudson that are sweet and honestly serving

Started with sauteed calamari then onto linguine vongole and homemade papparadelle with funghi. All well made with quality ingredients and delicious. Placing the clams on top of the linguine instead of below would've been a nicer presentation. Chic interior and professional staff.
