Barnwood Restaurant

This is a great place to stop and have a nice meal. The sweet potato fries were so tasty. The barn wood burger is a must try. It has bacon and onion rings on top. The staff is so nice and friendly. Reasonable priced. Overall a great addition to catskill.

What an awesome place. The food is really really good. Their wings are off the hook, their ribs fall off the bone, and the fried chicken is amazing. We Order from here at least one ebay month or two.
When we do do in, the staff is always friendly!

My wife and I usually get our pizza from here, but they do have some other really tasty dishes. I especially like their smoke house wings and beer batter onion rings.

We found this place by accident several weeks ago. This time we brought the whole family for my husband's retirement lunch. The food was great. Everybody enjoyed what they ordered. Special thank you to our waitress.She was smazing.

Stopped in while vacation in Catskill NY. It's very casual.
All of the food came out piping hot.

Best fried chicken we’ve ever had. Cole slaw, beans, grilled chicken - all delicious. Vibes are warm and good. Great place to visit in the Catskills. We will be regulars.

We were quite pleased. Had the Taco Salad and it was great! Having lived in Colorado and with relatives in New Mexico we are accustomed to quality Southwestern food. We expected something mediocre but WOW they have the Taco Salad we love. Just the right amount of spice to have a great flavor. We will be back!

Well considering that there was no Diner for miles we pulled up to the crowed parking lot to try it out.
The food was pretty good ..I had the fried chicken and my husband had the fried fish and we were both happy with what we received plus we were very hungry! It's a no frills kinda place but the chef knows what he's doing and so we will definitely visit again as we are driving through.

Stopped in for a quick bite while we were in town and honestly wasn't expecting much, but was really impressed!

Food prices are unbelievably reasonable and the quality and quantity of food you get in a meal is pretty awesome!

Despite being understaffed our server was super friendly and attentive.

Definitely a local gem and would 100% recommend

We got there just before a crowd came in!!! Lucky us!! The restaurant was packed already which is always a good sign. I had the St Louis Ribs....OMG, SO GOOD!! Fell off the bone good! You've GOT to try them. Definitely will be back while we're in the area.

Terrible Customer Service!!
Called Barnwood to place a $160 order from CMH and was told that they don’t delivery to Hudson for such a small amount. So we asked can we meet them on the other side of the bridge? Since delivery is free in Catskill and was told they are to busy to be waiting on “people!” These “people” are your customers and we understand that everyone is busy and short handed. Nurses or Waitresses customer service goes a long way!

Good food, decent service.
Fairly priced.
Will recommend and will return.

Partner and I stopped here, which was only a few minutes off of 87...a perfect place to stop for a bite to eat. The fish fry came with a huge piece of cod and delicious fries that were crispy yet soft on the inside. We also shared a 4 piece fried chicken platter, which comes with 2 sides...got the cole slaw and mac salad. The service was fast despite it being busy during lunch. Will stop by there again!

This would be Chicken Run (in Windham) equivalent if the interior wasn't so sad looking because the food is great. During busy times the staff is very short with you.

Ok let me start with this place hands down has the best fried food and I do t like fried food, but this place isn't oily and greasy! Their fish and pizza is amazing as well. But, for the first time today I tried their deserts today and I'm slapping myself for not trying it before. Trust, try the carot cake and amaretto bread pudding. You will thank me for it. I even bought some to go home with it was so good.

Delicious! I ordered fried chicken and ribs with fries and coleslaw. All soo good! The two dining with me had barbecue pulled pork sandwich with fries and macaroni salad and a chicken salad. Loved everything! Would recommend.

If you like beer seek no further they had two brown ales on tap! Say no more right? But you probably want to talk food too no? Let's start with the pecan smoked then deep fried Buffalo wings. I know I know not traditional but heck they are good. Especially when washed down with the third brown ale. I can only comment on what I have had. I am not a regular and I am not local.
Let's start with the fried chicken. Dam that is good fried chicken and can people come here just for that? Yes! The pizza is ok. I would not make this a pizza destination like Néw Haven ct. the large pie is large

Tried calling at 6pm, phone was busy. I have been trying to get through since 6pm, calling just about every minute for an hour, and the phone is perpetually busy. I understand it is busy for dinner, but the phone CANNOT be busy every minute for an hour, its just not possible. So only possibility is the phone is off the hook, whether by accident or on purpose is their fault. I live an hour away, was planning to pick up dinner.

I will probably eat here again in the future but will not change my review.

Good ribs, good salad, tasty wings. This place is a nice family friendly place. People rave about their fried chicken but that's not my jam. Casual dining with a bit of a loud atmosphere. Food is good but not amazing but no complaints.

They do have an amazing beer list with some tasty local IPAs and other beverages.

Place was jumping tonight and service was a bit scattered but it's the age of Covid so everyone gets a pass.

Easy access from state highway with plenty of parking. Reasonable pricing.

Note: this building was a Dairy Queen when I was growing up so I wanted a peanut buster

The barn wood burger was dead on. Was great size and price. But man it tasted good.
Fries were great also. I had the Italian pasta salad side it was very nice. I now know it's a great spot to grab a bite to eat. The staff was very nice as well.

Came here for an early dinner around 5 and was able to dine in without any wait. By the time we left, there was a line. Our waitress was very polite and kind.
The roadhouse wings were great. Came with 10 wings. Your choice of bbq or buffalo sauce. We opted for bbq and they were delicious.
The mix it up combo was a deal. Half a rack of ribs, 2 pieces of fried chicken. (Or half an order of wings) with 2 sides. The coleslaw was great. Other options included fries and baked beans. Wow! What great food and service! First time here , we came for lunch! Got the taco salad, bucket of rings, and the ribs and wings combo. So fresh, juicy and filling. Definitely will be back for dinner! The servers we very kind and friendly also!

If you're on an upstate getaway and in need of solid bar food, this place hits the spot. Portions are on point, pickup process is seamless, and the food is flavorful. The burger was cooked to perfection with generous toppings but still manageable to scarf down. The fries were underrated. The San Fran salad dressing was terrific. Can't go wrong with this place.
