Maples Martial Arts has been privately owned by Buck and Jacy Maples since 2008. Senior Master Buck Maples is a 6th Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, 1st Dan in Tang soo do and 1st Dan in Hap ki do. He has been training in the arts since 1987 and teaching since 1997. Senior Master Maples was born and raised in Castroville, Tx.
He graduated from Medina Valley High School with honors and continued his education to become an Electronics Engineer. During this time, he continued to study and teach Martial Arts until finally being able to pursue it full time. He was inducted into the United States Martial Artists Hall of Fame in 2021.

Services
These are our regular nightly martial arts classes that run Tuesday thru Thursday at 6:00 PM. For ages 4 years old and up. In these classes the students learn Tae Kwon Do, sparring, grappling, katas, one-steps, street fighting, self-defense, and much more. Which will enrich and boost self-esteem and confidence in this goal oriented art.
Don't have time after school or work to make it to all the sports or activities that your children are involved in, run a quick errand, or even buy groceries? Need your child to get up and away from the television and video games? Get them involved in a program that is mutually beneficial to child and parent.
Birthday child gets 1 month of FREE classes and a FREE uniform ( $145 value). Each participating child receives one week of FREE classes. Birthday child also gets to break a board and take it home, and cut their cake with a real Samurai Sword (with assistance from a black belt instructor, of course;).

If you’re looking for a wonderful activity for your 2-5 year old, I highly recommend the tiny tigers class at Maples Martial arts in Castroville. My 2.5 year old loves it and I’m so impressed with the patience and skill the instructor displays during class. They do a lot of work on gross motor skills and even include colors, numbers, shapes and learning left and right during drills. My son loves that they do lots of obstacle courses, and they just installed a rock wall. The martial arts they learn is very age appropriate, the instructor has very reasonable expectations, and is an excellent
