I am a Georgian. My '96 Saab 900's radio was disconnected from the battery, and because the radio is from the era when everyone was inexplicably terrified of their stereo being stolen while they were buying cigarettes, the radio requires a unique code to be turned back on. The OEM radio unit in my car is not the original factory equipment, meaning the code isn't linked with my car's VIN. I called several Saab service centers (amazed that these even exist) around the South to get the code, and every single one either didn't seem to know how to get the code or quoted me the wrong one.

My wife and I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership, we have bought many vehicles over the years and I must say this was hands down the most comfortable easy transaction of our lives Hannah was very attentive yet no pressure she was very helpful. Compared to other Mercedes and Land Rover dealerships the Volvo dealership is by far above and beyond in a league of its own. It was the most relaxed calm atmosphere I have ever experienced. The day we bought our new Volvo we actually went to Portland to look at a Jaguar F pace, after calling the Jag dealership to verify they had them in stock

Portland Volvo is so helpful! They go out of their way just to help you with tiny things, when most dealerships wouldn't! The service manager David is extremely intelligent and provides amazing customer service that truly can't be beat! I would most definitely recommend that if you own a volvo, you should go to Portland Volvo anytime you need help with your car. Big or small they are always there to help! And if you don't have a volvo you should probably hit them up to get one! :)

We want to give the service department staff 10 stars! We were en route to Portland, ME when one of our door handles separated from the locking mechanism. We called from the road, tried to describe the situation and were told to come in when we arrived in Portland. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly, professional employees and the repair was completed in less than an hour. Thank you very much Portland Volvo!

I could not be happier with the friendly and professional service I got from the Portland Volvo team yesterday. Very courteous, thorough, did not try to con me or overcharge me/fix things that weren’t broken, and gave me a beautiful loaner SUV with ease.
I previously went to a different certified Volvo dealership/center and stopped going due to my frustrations and dissatisfaction. I will 100% be back again!! I recommend anyone with a Volvo to swing by here for service, they are great! Thank you John and Lisa in service, especially!

Great service in short notice. I was on a coastal road trip. Check engine light came on late Friday while I was visiting friends. I called Portland Volvo first thing Saturday. They told me they had limited staff on Saturday but that if I could come in and be patient they would do their best. They already had a full schedule. They got me back on the road that afternoon. They saved the day!

Our family was driving from Connecticut to Maine when our 2011 XC90 started making a funny sound. At the halfway point, we called Portland Volvo to ask if maybe they could take a look. This was Friday at around 3 pm. Lisa from the Service Dept. answered the phone and was extremely professional and sweet, but informed us there were no open spots… that day. She suggested we leave the car overnight and maybe someone would get to it on Saturday. She even suggested a rental car dealership nearby.

This place sucks! Especially Cody the saws agen! They lied about a pre owned car saying it was a completely fine car with zero problems. I left a deposit and sold my car the day prior and the next day I was going to pick it up they told me it had a small oil leak. So they left me careless! Terrible dealership do not go there.

I must say that Portland Volvo has made my car buying experience beyond fantastic! I actually drove from Miami, FL to Portland, Maine for a used Jeep Grand Cherokee they had listed. It was more than worth the trip. Ralph D'Angelo, Curt and Jason took care of all my asks and were the politest group of dealers ever. I'm on my way back to Miami with a huge weight lifted off my shoulders and a smile on my face. They offered me more than fair value for my trade-in, which is one of the reasons I undertook the trip - plus they also had the exact car I've been searching a year plus for.

This dealership has a reputation for being condescending and dismissive, particularly among my female friends. I was recently left with that same impression. Although the salesman I spoke to was friendly enough, when I was ready to talk numbers he basically refused, saying that they use "true pricing" (which, according to him, means they don't inflate prices so they can negotiate down. Instead, they list their cars at the "true value of the car") Interestingly, the car I wanted had been listed at 28,000 the day before and then reduced to 24,000. So, I wonder, which was

I stopped here for service last week and was very happy. I was told a few minor issues to look for in the future. The staff was very helpful and informative. I just bought a used car from Portland Volvo. I had seen the vehicle on line at cargurus.com and had started negotiation with the dealer that had the vehichle--Kia of Saco. In the middle of our talks that dealership was sold and the vehicle ended up at Portland Volvo. When I was sent up there, I discovered that the price on the car had increased by a few thousand dollars. I called and talked to Tom who reluctantly agreed to sell me the vehicle at that price if I drove it and like it.

I recently purchased our second vehicle from Portland Volvo and first used vehicle from them . They were upfront and honest w the purchase and we have had no trouble w the vehicle that we purchased. We also get all of our service done at PV for our Volvo xc90 and have been treated fairly. Any problems were resolved quickly, usually w a free loner vehicle. I would recommend purchasing a new or used vehicle from PV to anybody. If buying a used car do your homework via the web so you can appreciate the values that are offered at PV.

I have to agree with Deborah W. Very condescending. Tried to a buy a car here a few years ago and the experience was so terrible I'm writing about it now. Sounds like not much has changed. Got the runaround for 5 days. "We've got the car that meets your requirements." Yay! Then came the truth...way over my price range, hidden upfront costs buried in the paperwork, you name it. This happened a few times. I was told I had "unrealistic expectations." Funny. Goodwin's Volvo in Topsham didn't think so and I bought a better car there in one try.
