Watson Smith opened its doors in 2008, when Matthew G. Watson decided it was time to begin his own practice. Since then, Watson Smith has established a reputation in southern New Mexico for quality legal services in a variety of practice areas such as Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, and Natural Resources and Water law.
Mr. Watson graduated from New Mexico State University in 1999, with a Bachelors degree in Government Studies with a minor in Spanish. He then went on to obtain his law degree from the University of New Mexico in 2002. After graduating from law school, he worked as an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney for The Scott Hulse Law Firm in El Paso, Texas until deciding to move on to another firm in 2004.
