Stopped by their food truck one day after work. Absolutely delicious homemade fried oyster bowl with freshly seasoned green beans. Reasonably priced. I also enjoyed their fresh, made in house remoulade sauce. I will definitely be back.

Traveling for work, finding good local spots for a good "real" meal can be tough. This place is a total gem. I will definitely be back. Very attentive service, owners stopping by and inquiring on the experience, cool eclectic atmosphere. Menu covers anything you are really in the mood for. If you are in the area, check it out, and support this local spot. I can't wait to return with a bigger appetite to sample more of the menu.

Can't believe it took me 2 and a half years to find out this place existed let alone was 3 miles down the road. Was recommended to come here and went that night with my girlfriend and we were both blown away. The service was impeccable, a co-owner sat and served us and offered suggestions, pairings, explanations, as well as answers to our many questions. He was extremely knowledgable about the wine list and his recommendation went perfectly with our meal.

We had an appetizer of the chorizo clams which was phenomenal. The clams were stuffed with chorizo and peppers in a sauce so good we asked

After reading reviews we decided to go here for a night out , we ended up waiting over an hour for our food. When we brought it up we were met with little remorse from the staff. Steak was overcooked and came out cold despite them saying that they had 'just plated' it. We ended up just getting the food to go and left very frustrated with our experience.

I have never had a worse experience in a restaurant in my entire life. I made reservations for 10 people three weeks in advance. The reviews looked positive for a nice place to take a bride to be out to dinner the night before her wedding. We sit down and order our entrees within 15 minutes.
An hour passes and we haven't received our food. At this point we all need to be heading home, so I asked the manager to deliver our food in boxes with the checks. He says "it's being plated right now are you sure you want it boxed?" Yes I am sure, we have to leave, or please drop the food

What a diamond in the rough! If you haven't been here, you're missing out. The service and food is really good. Alejandro is very knowledgeable about wines and crafted cocktails. We had the salmon dish and risotto with chicken. Both dishes were very good on their own; together (as two separate meals) the salmon was the star as the mashed sweet potatoes was a game changer. We had the pumpkin (fall time of year) créeme brûlée'. We will definitely be back and looking forward to it. Support your local businesses!!

Eh. Here is my take:
The good: this is one of the few restaurants that feels romantic, the low lighting and quiet ambiance is calming. The scallop appetizer is small but to die for! The crab cakes are served with a side I'd never had before...much like fried scalloped potatoes and it was delicious. They also had a local peach dessert with pound cake and homemade ice cream and it was phenomenal. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly.
The not so good: the building has a musty smell when you enter and the decor is very cheap and tacky looking for how upscale they want to be. The crab cakes

This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is good and the service is unparalleled. It is not unusual for servers to remember my name and favorite drinks. Definitely try the wine flights - so much fun letting Alejandro surprise you based on your food order.

Super enjoyable evening with live music. Enjoyed splitting the Brie appetizer and salad. One salmon and one ribeye, also to create our own surf and turf! Very well prepared and presented. Lovely service by Samuel! Only thing better would have been the original ice wine request.

Pomegranate is a lovely restaurant in Troutville. During warm weather the big porch is very romantic with elegant lighting and comfortable seating. The food is delicious (I love the mussels) however a bit pricier than I was expecting. The waitress was friendly and polite, although for a quiet weeknight the service was somewhat slow in my opinion. I love supporting local businesses though and I hope to see this restaurant grow!

Loved the place despite a few gaffs from our server. Nothing horrific, just unexplained, seemingly random occasional confusion.

Certainly high quality foods. All well, no very well, prepared.

Great place off the beaten path. The ambience is nice, and they have indoor and limited outdoor seating. They also have an event space. It's great American fare with a twist. Locally owned and operated by an owner with a passion for what they're doing.

First, please correct the location of this great restaurant. It's actually in the little town of Troutville, not Salem, and about a mile from the spot on the Yelp map that supposedly indicates its location.
So.... We were on I-81 and pulled off to find a nice spot for supper. Something nicer than a Ruby Tuesday's, please. We found this place (no thanks to the Yelp map) in the cute little town of Troutville, still just a short hop off the interstate.
It was delightful! Great service, nice chat with the owner, bartender makes interesting sounding concoctions, food is wonderful. The "

Perfect for date night or getting together with family and friends. My boyfriend and I had tuna for an appetizer, an eggnog martini, a 007 (orange alcohol drink), a burger with steak fries, and the pork medallions with broccoli and maple mashed sweet potatoes. Yes, we were hungry and celebrating.
We agree that it was all delicious! Boyfriend's comment, "This is one of the best burgers I've ever had. Medium rare can be tough to make and it's perfect." Definitely farm to table! My favorite was the maple sweet potatoes. So yummy!
We'll be back for more with others soon

We headed out to Pomegranate not knowing it was "Prom Night"! Fortunately for us, we were seated in the "Casual" part of the restaurant where the bar is located. The restaurant was very dark, but had good ambient lighting. There was a mix of table sizes, an assortment of chairs, and a lot of open floor space. A small candle filled a glass votive holder situated on several red glass beads, thus giving off a glow that looked like giant pomegranate seeds. Cute touch.

The waiter promptly greeted our table and said he would be right with us. He appeared to be the only one
