That’s what you’re craving when your really craving a good good good cheesesteak. Holy cow they’ve got the best cheesesteak in Roanoke. I’ve tried a few other places around town that supposedly specialize in cheesesteaks but now I’ll never buy a cheesesteak from anywhere but Lews again. My Hunt for my “cheesesteak place” is over. Lees will be receiving all my cheesesteak business for as long as I live in Roanoke, and they’re in business. I’ll take all my friends from out of town here as well, so that they can see what makes Roanoke better than any other city on earth, Lews. Thank

Waitress was very friendly and sweet. This was nothing like we saw online, and after we ordered, we were asked to leave because we had a 6 pound puppy in a kennel. Quoted health codes. While literally no one had masks on. 🙄. Also, after wolfing down my pastrami sandwich I specifically asked for no sauerkraut, because cabbage makes me ill, I realized it was mixed in with them pastrami. It's a sports bar. We were hoping for family dining. This wasn't it.

This is kind of a seedy, hole in the wall kind of place. Didn't seem very clean. Went here tonight on 7/3/2021. The server she was very nice and outgoing. The crew behind the counter were too busy socializing. The food was bland. The guy cooking (has curly hair) was goofing off and clearly laughing at and making fun of customers.

Excellent bar restaurant. Parking is limited next to the building but there is a good amount of street parking at this location. They have a bar with several beers on tap and some in cans and bottles. There is a good amount of seating in the restaurant but the bar seating is closed for Covid-19 protocols. There is a all outdoor seating area between the building and the sidewalk with umbrellas. The food was made to order but still was reasonably quick. The waitress checked on us frequently enough to take care of the table but not so much that we were bothered. The food was good without complaints

Get the Philly Steak burger or Philly Steak sub, with extra cheese! Their beer-battered fries are great!
The onion rings were ok. Not amazing. I also highly recommend the tomato basil soup!!!
The atmosphere isn't bad for a bar setting at all. We saw several families with kids. The waiters and waitresses were very nice and down to earth.

EDIT 01182020 the Full Monty which is their double burger is (grilled to medium per request) amazing. The perfect amount of tomato, and cheese on a well toasted bun. I could not finish the one pound burger!

Service: atrocious, rude, condescending
6 tables were full. 2 tables came after us. 9 total tables. We got our food last. 45 minutes. Appetizer came after me. Server said "that happens sometimes" and walks away. She made an excuse about being busy. They were not busy. Server blamed me for not remembering the name of my burger and made multiple snide comments.
Food quality: we were served burned burgers that were somehow cold.
When I left, I was greeted in the parking lot by 4 employees on a smoke break. Par for the course I guess?
Verdict: should have gotten McDonald's

Nice place close to the highway. So many options under $10! I ordered their Avacado Burger. Cut into it and it was cooked throughout, nice medium and not dry. Onion rings were crispy and the sweet tea was solid. Only comment: the burger was bland. I sprinkled salt on it and it made a WORLD of difference. Overall a nice, solid place to eat.
