After high school, Amber attended a dental assisting course and worked as a dental assistant for a few years. Dr. Sean Hanson was born and raised in Salem, OR, and he is happy to serve the community that he calls home. After attending Candalaria Elementary, Leslie Middle, and South Salem High, he furthered his education at Oregon State University. There, he completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in pre-dentistry with a minor in chemistry.
When I first went to college, I didn't quite know what I was going to be. I knew that I did want to be in the medical field. And I had a family friend that was a dentist. And the more time I spent with him and his family, and observed at his office I realized what a great fit it was for me. That I could use my artistic talents as well as the enjoyment of medicine and helping people.

I love this dental office! They have organized, professional, and friendly staff. The lobby and hygiene rooms are large and comfortable. I love my hygienist, she does a great job and makes getting my teeth cleaned a pleasant and painless experience! They are transparent about fees and do not push unnecessary procedures on you. I’m so happy I found this dental office!

The staff got me in ASAP due to tooth cracked down the middle with shooting pain. They were very caring and considerate towards my anxiety. That was the most comfortable and cared for I felt towards a dentist in a long time! Got to squeeze dental assistants hand while needle went into my gums to numb area! Will continue my care there due to how out of their way they go to make you feel comfortable! Also they have FREE COFFEE and CHI TEA .💫🐾👍👍

I'm always nervous around the dentist and Dr. Afshar was able to really make me confident and comfortable in the chair. In fact I'm so nervous that I drive from Eugene just to see him in Salem. He and his team were able to help my cracked tooth that other dentists told me needed to be removed and implanted. He took his modern education and was able to perform a crown for a fraction of the cost that other dentists wanted thousands to do. He is a bit of a perfectionist and made sure my impressions were perfect before cementing my permanent crown in place. He also had to do a root canal

I hadn't been to a dentist in about six years when I stepped into the office at Oregon Smile Care Center and to be honest I was a little nervous. Had I done a decent job brushing and flossing since the previous dentist visit back in my home state of Washington? Were they going to judge me for plaque buildup or something? I needn't have worried one bit. I had my exam, x-ray, and cleaning done by Danika, and she took very good care of me. Some spots did hurt a bit, but she put a little bit of numbing cream on the sensitive areas and that helped immensely. Leaving the office, I couldn&apos

This was no doubt about, the most pleasant dentist office I have ever been too! I was out camping at Detroit lake and had my front tooth chipped. I called them and explained the situation and they made time for me to come in that same day. The entire staff was super friendly and made me feel at ease once I was there. The dentist that worked on my tooth ( I think his name was Darr ) was awesome! He took the time to make sure that I was 100% satisfied with my tooth and that it looked absolutely perfect before I left. I really appreciated that! His dental assistant Wendy was very sweet, cheerful and
