Services
We are located in the heart of Cohasset village off of Route 3A. Our cozy salon has a comfortable yet modern feel. From the charming exposed brick wall to our sleek stations and stylist chairs, there is a stylish blend of old and new. On street parking is available in front of the salon, as well as the town parking lot located at the corner of Ripley Rd and Pleasant st.
Your appointments are very important to the Texture and Gloss Team, they are especially for you! We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Less than a 24 hour notice for appointment cancellation will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.
After graduating from Bates College with a BA in English, Carolyn decided to pursue a career in hairstyling. Training under one of the top salon owners in Newton, MA, Carolyn grew as an artist and as a professional. Since then, she hasn't looked back. With over 10 years experience in the beauty industry, Carolyn is a master colorist and stylist with an aesthetic that ranges from casual chic to elegant and sophisticated.
Over the last 5 years, Heather has mastered a wide range of beauty techniques including up-dos, highlights, and make-up. She places a high value on listening to her clients, understanding their needs, and maintaining the health of their hair. Her welcoming demeanor and unlimited creativity ensure that a service with Heather will be as relaxing as it is satisfying.
Lisa started her career at Davis Hairdressing after completing their Advanced Education Program. Seven years later, her training continues. Lisa has travelled from New York to London and trained with some of the best in the industry: Goldwell, KMS, Toni & Guy, Kevin Murphy and L'Oreal, just to name a few.

Texture and Gloss is great and Carolyn who owns and run the salon always takes extra time to greet customers adding a personal touch to the visit. It's nice to be able to get good service and a stylish cut without going to the city.
I've gone to several of the stylists including Lauren and Alexandra and each time they were great as well.

Super hesitant to leave my Newbury St salon after moving to the South Shore, I am so glad I found Lisa! I have naturally auburn hair that I am always nervous to color because dying red hair can be dicey. After chopping my natural highlights off in a drastic cut a couple years ago - and discovering more white hairs than I remember - I recently started lightening it. My salon in Boston added a light, natural balayage to it in a way that lets it grow out gracefully. It had been almost two years since I had it done last when I met Lisa for a consultation to update the look. Today she worked her magic

Andrea and Lisa both do a great color and cut. Because it is difficult to get appointments here, I have ended up alternating between whichever is available, and they are both great. Both very professional and experts at color. They listen to my concerns and give me the results I want. Environment is pleasant and all the stylists and receptions are very courtiers and helpful. The only negative (and this is because of the excellence of the service) is that it can take up t 6 weeks to get an appointment, so book far in advance.

Katelyn Rocks!!!! Just moved here from out-of-town and was concerned about finding a new stylist that would be able to cut and color my hair just the way I like it. I had been happily going to the same stylist for years until my recent move. Katelyn is my new stylist at Texture&Gloss! She did an amazing job!! This is the first time I've been impressed by a stylist on the South Shore, and I've been looking for 20 yrs. Carolyn, the owner, is intelligent, knowledgeable, and very helpful. She got my color right, helped me achieve a cute style I can maintain, and I can actually get appts when I want them. I've been several times, so the quality is consistent. Keep up the good work!

I went to Texture & Gloss for a pretty straightforward cut (lob) and my 4yo had her first real hair cut there at the same time. The facility is pretty nice-modern, open, clean. And I appreciated the extended more-flexible hours.
Overall, though, I didn't feel like the experience was any more than mediocre/just satisfactory. Cut was ok, service just ok, but quite pricey.
Worth a shot to see if it's a good fit for you, but I'll be continuing my search for a hair salon I love.

Had my first experience yesterday with Lisa, in one word "Awesome"!!!! She is amazing, the salon is adorable, exposed brick & beautiful hardwood floors, it's located in a quant area of cohasset & there is a Peel Pizza few doors down, a magic combination! I will be back to see Lisa again, she is truly talented!!

I followed my stylist Lisa here. I have never loved or trusted a stylist as much as I have with Lisa and now I love the salon just as much. Lisa is the kind of stylist that REALLY listens to what you want, but will give you her input to help guide you with her expertise to help you have the best hair possible. I'm a bit of a crazy person when it comes to cutting my hair and Lisa always respects me when I tell her to "keep the length!" Haha. I always feel like my hair is 10x's more healthier and beautiful, but yet still long when I leave :-)
