We are a locally owned and operated pharmacy & old fashioned soda fountain located in Salida, Colorado. Stop by today to experience the Salida Pharmacy & Fountain difference. As we start to re-open in our county, Salida Pharmacy & Fountain, will be taking extra precautions to maintain the health and safety of our customers and patients.
We are still offering customer transactions through curbside pick-up or delivery to your home or work. During this critical time of reopening, Salida Pharmacy & Fountain will have limited seating inside the store. We also encourage the use of masks when coming into the store. Instead of having a self-serve station, we will be providing napkins, spoons, straws, etc. per customer request.

It is fine to have COVID policies, but there is no excuse for screaming the F word at a patient.
Went to get a COVID test and they demanded I fill out a form they never sent. When I went in to ask for help, the nurse refused to give it to me. When I complained aboutthe nurse and pharmacist both screamed at me and told me to "get the f@#& out before I call the cops."
Very rude and disrespectful. I understand people are stressed right now but there is no excuse for this behavior.
Also, $75 is exorbitant for a rapid test. This outfit is taking advantage of a small town with few options

You would have thought I was competing in an ice cream eating contest with my frequency of visits here in one week.
My husband and I love soda fountains and this is now our favorite.
This ice cream is incredible. The menu has so many good choices (hence the multiple visits).
The Spartan was an awesome float. The honeycomb ice cream was a perfect balance to the blueberry soda and was the best float I've ever had.
The second trip I enjoyed the Mirkwood shake. The white chocolate morsels were small enough to fit through the straw and the toasted marshmallow on top was a treat.

Most delicious old fashioned soda fountain with phosphates and fizzes and all that! Carefully presented, they looked straight out of a photo book. Tasted great too. I tried the Big Easy soda and the Bananas Foster remix special; my 8 year old loved the Cookie Monster sundae. I think the jerks who work there should have bow ties and aprons, but hey, that's me...

This is the second time (several months apart) when we entered and we were not even greeted at the door. While my 7 year old son was trying to ask a question the older short haired lady interrupted him to talk to someone else.
The ice cream was good but customer service is lacking. It's no surprise this place isn't busy.

Truly amazing milkshakes! We had the pleasure of staying in little Salida over the summer and so enjoyed our stay and visiting all of the cool restaurants and shops.
This milkshake shop in particular was hard to forget. They have amazing combinations that you can order or you can make your own. I got one with banana and chocolate, a classic combo, so good!
Only 2 employees were working and it was super busy! They were running around and doing their best to take care of everyone best as possible. If you're in town, definitely plan to make a stop here to enjoy a shake!

New biz alert! Salida keeps getting cooler every day, especially with a new soda fountain downtown.
Normally when I visit the area, The Biker & Baker are the go-to dessert spot. However, they are closed on Sundays and I can't go to bed without something sweet. Walking back to the car, I saw the lights on at Salida Pharmacy & Fountain and figured, "Why not?"
It's just like an old-timey ice cream counter should be (I imagine, they're a little before my time): plenty of shakes, sundaes, malts and even egg creams. I will warn you that one regular shake could satisfy
