Requested 75% down payment at start of the project, when I questioned the large deposit he responded “I’m not putting 20% up for your project”.
The customary deposit is 20% then 30% at the start then another 25% at the halfway mark, the remaining 25% at projects completion. And no completion date or even an estimate of a timeline.
I don’t know him personally or otherwise, he’s not listed with the BBB and has one review…this one.
He seemed “ok” but I’m NOT comfortable giving 75% of my money for a project before a nail has been set.
