California Chiropractic Center is a wellness center that places a special emphasis on Chiropractic care in conjunction with acupuncture and massage therapies. Our highly skilled team consists of chiropractors, acupuncturists and massage therapists. We are conveniently located in South of Market, aka South Beach or in the SOMA area of San Francisco; two blocks from AT&T Baseball Park, MUNI (N or T Lines) and Caltrain.
It does not take a serious injury for one to be in pain. A non-traumatic injury can be as debilitating as a fall or automobile accident, or sometimes even worse. We believe that the root of all non-traumatic injuries are not caused by just one facet but are multi-factorial, and therefore we believe its solution should also be multi-factorial.

I had a great experience with Dr. Alex. I was having some lower back pain and never had been to a Chiropractor before. He was quick to fit me in, and my pain has all but gone away after a few trips. I'll be continuing to visit monthly for regular alignments and it's great to have such a valuable and important resource. Thanks!

Recently I got into an accident which later caused me to develop some temporary back pain. The reason why I was able to fully recover is because of Dr Alex. Thank god he exists as a chiropractor because he’s the reason why my back is back to normal. Ever since then I’ve been seeing him for years. Whenever my back is not feeling well from working out or working Dr Alex always makes sure that I feel better. Ive told some of my friends expecting back pain about him and we all have not regretted seeing him ever since.

I'm using the alias because I don't want to receive angry phone calls or voice mails from the practice like the other reviews suggested. I also don't leave negative reviews often but decide to do so because I hope others don't have negative experiences as I do.
I've seen him only a few times, so can't tell you how good he is if you decide to see him long-term. But his demeanor was very off-putting.
First, he refuses to wear a mask during his consultation, saying that he thinks it's okay for him to speak without a mask if people can dine at a restaurant together

Update: after a few months treating with Dr.Alex, I have felt so much better. My lower back pain has decreased in pain level. I always leave feeling amazing.
Dr. Alex is amazing. My back has been feeling great ever since I started treatment with him. He is very clear about treatment plans and talks you through everything he does. I highly recommend!

Dr. Qasem is outstanding. He perfectly diagnosed what was wrong with my back and set out a plan, reassuring and guiding me through the whole process when I was very physically and mentally low.
Now, my pain is gone and every session leaves me feeling like a new man. My mobility and impetus to exercise has also vastly improved since we first began some months ago. Also the Hijama therapy is the best I did that twice with my dad as a recommendation from Dr.Q and as sauna in the religious.

I developed a sore neck a few weeks ago. The pain quickly spread to my right shoulder and right upper arm until one morning my neck just got locked. Getting out of bed was a big deal, not to mention working at a desk all day, which has really become a pain in the neck. When a friend recommended chiropractor treatment, I decided to give this clinic a go because it is close to my work, located moments away from work. Had my first chiropractic appointment and it was a bit disappointing. I scheduled my appointment for 12p and wasn't seen until 12:20/12:30. I believe they were having issues with their computer system being down, but it felt a bit unprofessional to just be left sitting there while they lamented about technical issues. When the appointment finally began the entire visit felt rushed, I was finished before 1p, when his next appointment was. Left on my lunch break to establish care after moving and straining my back. I spent an hour mostly listening to the chiropractor complain about how many consults he had to see that day and how he was going to lose his voice. He went on to lecture me about chiropractic care, I say lecture because I couldn't get a word in about my specific pain. He was not gentle with my body even after explaining that my pain was an 8/10. He forcefully adjusted my back and I walk out worse than I came in.

Dr. Alex has been great! His initial consultation process was superb, and he took his time to make sure I understood everything he was saying about my treatment plan. I would definitely recommend him. Follow up appointments for adjustments have been quick and effective, I've noticed a considerable difference in my posture and overall reduction in a lot of the lower back pain that I presented with. Job well done!

Dr Alex was great! He was timely, and saw me at the time that was expected.
He said his usual consultations were about 20 minutes or so, he took over an hour with me, and really explained what could possibly be wrong, gave me an adjustment, recommended a radiologist and had me on my way. Looking forward to the next visit.

Dr. Alex is really great at listening to your needs, asking questions, and explaining his philosophy. He put me on a treatment plan and adjusted as we went depending on how I was doing. I really felt like he took a comprehensive approach. He also is a pro in dealing with insurance, and making sure you get the most out of your coverage.

After going to couple other chiropractors, a spine clinic and a couple physical therapists, I have finally found some progressive relief in my lower back pain.
The best and most surprising thing about Dr. Alex was that he didn't promise anything. He derived the logical truth of how my case was going to be and how I could improve it. The treatment was not very complicated. However, it definitely worked, because three weeks in - I am not feeling any pain.
Fun fact: he shares good recommendations about food around SOMA and standup comics.

My cousin and I came to California Chiropractic for wellness care with Dr.Yasi and was initially overcome with her warmth and vibrant presence. She was very receptive while speaking to her about our care and also very helpful in explaining Chiropractic to my cousin, whom had never seen a Chiropractor before.
She had great energy and instantly made me feel relaxed and at ease (as I tend to tense up with cervical adjustments). I felt like the circuit and conduction of my nervous system was turned on fully after her adjustments. She also provided great at home exercises and ergonomic education
