Never been here before but i enjoyed the atmosphere. Love how the interior is designed with option to sit outside. Family friendly. Only negative was train is loud. The projector is awesome but they only had the same channel on all on the monitors included. The beer battered fries were great. Beer selection is great for all tastes.

Loooooovve!!!! We researched kid friendly breweries and found this one. We came on a Sunday, early afternoon. I was instantly in love with the setup, open courtyard, big screen to watch football and outdoor bar with so many tables! The have inside seating as well, but we chose to sit near the courtyard to let the kids be free.
It looks like the area is growing right in this little section so I'm excited to see all the new fast casuals that will be built nearby.
We ordered a couple beers, some wings and beer cheese fries. Beers were fantastic, next time I'm bringing my growler for a fill

This is my first time coming to Ferus in a long time because I live pretty far away. Stopped by with a friend recently and was pleasantly surprised to see all their growth!
I started with the Tangerine Vanilla Sour. This was REALLY good, with the perfect amount of pucker at the end. Next I tried the Black Gose, and this is probably now one of my favorite beers EVER. We finally got a chance to come by and give this place a try for brunch. I loved the style of the brewery. Definitely different from what I have seen around town.
Our server was friendly and helpful, and we were sat quickly once we arrived. Also, they made sure we had drink refills in a timely manner. I forgot to take a picture, but we were also convinced into ordering the lemon beignets, which I loved! It made up for the fact that I wasn't too thrilled with my meal.

Good beer and a great place to hangout and entertainment. Watch your favorite team on the big screen and enjoy the pavilion outdoor experience. This a much visit restaurant/brewery. They also do a fantastic job with their food.
I have a chance to dine in here a few days ago and the food was wonderful. The fish of the day was cooked perfectly and was on point. The poutine fries, what can I say, I loved then. I am looking forward to the next visit.

How to put this experience into words...
They say they don't sell things listed on the menu. They have staff that stands around shooting flies with a salt water gun instead of helping customers. No one tells you that your food is ready so it sits for long periods of time before you realize it's done. Wayyy too many children.
Picture shows various salads we witnessed sitting in the sun for over an hour before the other customers had to walk up and ask where their food was.

Went to Mary Katherine Backstrom's Meet & Greet for her book release, Holy Hot Mess!! Had a private party room with our own bartender! He was GREAT! Food was good, but not great. It's a brewery, so, I get it. Got a Smash Burger, added bacon. The bacon was terrible. So hard that I had to take it off my burger! And, I love bacon! So sad! Great ambiance in the restaurant, & the patio/grassy area is WONDERFUL! If I have a need for something in Trussville, I'll keep this place in mind!

As someone who grew up in Trussville, it's really cool to see the downtown area being revitalized. The whole entertainment district is a great addition to the city. Ferus is a great place to hang out with friends or have a chill date night. The atmosphere is sort of hipster-ish and laid back. It's a brewery so there is a wide selection of beers. I'm not a beer drinker myself but I tried the Fallen Passionfruit beer and really enjoyed it. The food is also excellent. We ordered the maple chili wings and stout poutine and really liked both. There are nowhere near enough tables/space for all the traffic this place gets! The chicken fingers are delicious and I also love the wedge salad. I am not a beer drinker but their margaritas are delicious! I do wish they had a full bar because I wish I could order more variety but I get that it's a brewery. The wait is usually pretty long because of the "hang out" and with not many restaurants in trussville that part sucks. But over all a good place!

This is a very cool place. We received excellent service and the food was good. Smaller portions which I prefer.
We sat inside, but there is a very nice outdoor space complete with a sound stage.
Their beer was ok. I tried the Pilsner. It wasn't as good as Stella Artois, but acceptable.
I think you really need to check this place out.

Ferus is slowly getting back on my good side. I came here recently since it had been awhile since my last visit. I came on a late Sunday afternoon which was perfect ..... it wasn't crowded. I sat at the bar and was assisted quickly. I ordered their Hey Zebra IPA , which I love and I'm SO glad it's back on tap!! Cheers
I hadn't planned on ordering any food but watching others around me eat , I caved & asked for a food menus. Ferus has a rotating menu so there were some new items I hadn't tried before. One being steak frites so that's what I went with .

This brewery is probably my newest favorite in the Birmingham area. They have a full service bar (so liquor too if you aren't up for a beer) and a few beers made in house. The beer is wonderful but the food is EVEN better. My husband and I were here last Saturday after taking our dog for a long walk. We weren't going to eat but saw the chicken fingers and decided to share an order, which is sad for my husband because all he got were some of the fries. The chicken tenders seemed like they were made to order and hand breaded in house (not sure if they were or not). The fries were perfectly

This is my second time reviewing Feris. My previous one is based on a rather quick lunch experience.
This go around I really spent some time there and hung out for a few hours with some friends.
Once again, the food was very good.
All of the Beers I wanted to try they were out of. That was pretty upsetting. I did try some of their other ones. they were not very good. Specifically the Pilsner. We ended up drinking a guest tap that they had from Monday night brewing. It was delicious, but I didn't drive to Trussville to drink someone else's beer.
Our service was great and fast.
