Services
Dr. Karen Emerson is a 2006 graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She resides in West Point with her husband Terry and two daughters, Haley and Lilly Kate. Her other family members are Bart, a double yellow-headed Amazon parrot she has had since she was eleven years old.
At Emerson Animal Hospital, we offer a variety of services to care for your pet. If you have any questions or would like more information on how we can care for your pet, please contact us today. Our staff will get a chance to talk to you and see if you are having any trouble with your pet. We will also go over diet, preventative medicine, and exercise to ensure that your pet is as healthy as possible.
At Emerson Animal Hospital, you can expect state of the art medical care for your four-legged companions. We believe in nurturing the human-animal bond and creating a harmonious relationship between people and animals. You can expect to be greeted by a courteous receptionist, clean exam rooms, friendly doctors, and caring technicians.
Pet insurance pays, partly or in total, for veterinary treatment of the insured person's ill or injured pet. Some policies will pay out when the pet dies, or if it is lost or stolen. As veterinary medicine is increasingly employing expensive medical techniques and drugs, and owners have higher expectations for their pet's health care and standard of living than previously, the market for pet insurance has increased.
Bathing /Grooming: Indoor Bathing and grooming available for all size dogs and cats. We do offer grooming ranging from simple cuts to breed specific Outoor Kennelcuts. Boarding: cat, dog and exotics: Our state of the art boarding facility offers rooms with automatic waters to provide fresh water at all times.

After years of different vets, hematomas and wrong diagnosis, Dr. Emerson was the only one who figured out what was going on with my dogs ears and she is now living a happy comfortable life. My family is so thankful and I am switching my other dogs care to Dr. Emerson as well. Her staff is amazing too and I highly recommend Emerson Animal Hospital.

Absolutely the best vet! Dr Emerson and her staff go above and beyond while being extremely kind and professional. I’ve unfortunately had to have a kitty put to sleep there, and a couple emergency situations- I would not recommend anyone else to send your hard cases to!

This veterinary clinic saved my dogs life!!! I would recommend to anyone! Throughout his hospitalization the staff were so patient with me and answered every question! The doctor herself called and updated me multiple times. I can’t say enough positive words about this clinic!

By far the best vet experience! My pup has been going through random phases of not feeling well so I finally decided to take him to another vet (Emerson). I really appreciate that I was able to get him an appointment so quickly and that I was actually able to come inside with him. The service here was outstanding! Everyone was so friendly and the vet listened to my concerns and walked me through what she was doing. I felt informed the whole time and my pup seemed to enjoy his visit (as much as a pet can possibly enjoy the vet haha)! I live about 30 minutes away and this place was worth the drive
