Bristol Preschool Child Care Center

Bristol Preschool Child Care Center began in preschool education in 1971. We are a non-profit organization funded by the State of Connecticut, Office of Early Childhood and United Way. We area School Readiness Program and are accredited by NAEYC. BPCCC is a full year educationally based program offering an extended day program.

The program is based upon the premise that each child has the inherent right to develop the skills necessary to be a life-long learner. The Early Childhood Program stimulates thinking and expression, exploration and curiosity. We believe every child is unique in terms of life experiences, developmental readiness and cultural heritage.

Bristol Preschool Child Care Center is proud to hold the NAEYC accreditation at both our West Street and School Street locations. Since its founding in 1926, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has been working to define quality in programs for young children.

In 1985, NAEYC established its accreditation system to set professional standards for early childhood programs and to help families identify high-quality programs.NAEYC Accreditation is a voluntary system by which programs measure themselves against a national set of standards, and the number of programs pursuing NAEYC Accreditation has grown rapidly through the years.

As educators working with preschoolers, we have the opportunity to set the stage for children's success in school and in life. We value children as individuals and embrace their unique contributions to the classroom community and inspire in them a love of learning that will last a lifetime. We believe that children learn best when they are actively involved with materials and with others.
