Steven M. Byrne was born and raised in South Louisville. He graduated from WKU and then the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1986. He began practicing in La Grange in 1987, where he and wife Merry raised their family. They have two boys, Jake and Zachary. Jake, a 2009 graduate of WKU and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2013, is a practicing psychiatrist in Chicago, IL.
Zachary, a 2011 graduate of WKU and the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2017, joined Byrne Family Dentistry after graduation. Zachary is married to his wife, Amy, and they have a son named Beau. Together, Dr. Steve and Dr. Zach are committed to serving their community, which Byrne Family Dentistry has done for more than 30 years.

Had an old filling replaced with new one. It was a great experience. No numbing required, Dr. Byrne was very cautious and aware of any signs of sensitivity and handled it with care so I had little to no pain. The Assistant and Office Staff are extremely nice and friendly. Very pleased and highly recommend Byrne Family Dentistry.

Our entire family now sees both Byrne doctors and we are so pleased with their service! The staff is the best and the doctors worked wonderfully with our two boys; 6 &9. My husband has been using this practice for years & has had nothing but great experiences! We are happy to have our family at one place with such amazing staff!

My first time going to the Byrne Family Dentistry was a very pleasant surprise. Everyone there is friendly, courteous, and makes the extra effort to make you feel at ease. My second visit was just as nice. The experience is such a change from past experiences I've had. I highly recommend this practice to everyone.

Two visits within one week. With that being said I ended up seeing both dentists. Both are friendly, have recommended some future dental work which I agree with. The hygienist was very good and very pleasant.… Receptionist area/check-in all personnel were very pleasant. All that I met in the practice came across as concerned, very easy to work with. I would tell anyone that I am very satisfied with the filling/the cleaning and all the service. This was my first visit & I already have future plans to return.
