Dennis grew up in Newport, Rhode Island surfing in cold water and enjoying everything New England has to offer including sailing, clam bakes and four seasons in one day. Meanwhile, over 5000 miles away, Jaime was on the Big Island of Hawaii learning algebra and how to ride horses.
Their paths crossed in the summer of 2000 in San Diego where they both moved to pursue their dreams, Dennis attending USD and DJing the underground club scene and Jaime living her best life dancing at them.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with both Jaime and Dennis on our wedding day. We walked away from our first phone conversation with Dennis and felt such a genuine and strong connection that we instantly knew we wanted him and Jaime to be a part of our wedding. Viera is absolutely the best. Dennis and Erin took the most beautiful photos at our wedding. They are unique and more artistic than any wedding photos I've ever seen. And I'm not just biased -- friends and family and even mere acquaintances who have seen the photos have all said the same!

Jaime and Dennis were absolutely fantastic! We loved their photojournalism style - especially their ability to capture candid emotions while telling the story. They were very thorough in the planning process of the wedding to fully understand what our goals for photography were. Viera Photographics is truly a gem! We love how the photos tell a story and capture the mood/spirit/emotions on our wedding day perfectly. One thing that stood out - my mom carried a single sunflower down the aisle in remembrance of my dad and set it on the seat next to her. Before the ceremony she leaned over and touched the flower and both Jaime and Dennis were there right away capturing the moment. It was this attention to detail that we really appreciated. The wife-husband duo are also genuinely nice people that are fun to be around so that was just an added bonus. Highly recommend!

We chose Viera Photographics for our small, destination wedding ceremony in Big Sur after having an hour long-conversation with Dennis. We felt so comfortable talking to him. Immediately. This incredible duo was amazing on my daughter's wedding day! We were very lucky to book them at a late date. They were professional, detail oriented, assertive in requesting the guests to participate (some times necessary) but more importantly, they were able to capture the spontaneous moments with an artistic creative flair that is almost impossible to find with may photographers. The Vieras are seriously amazing. We sincerely enjoyed spending the whole day with them, including when we were getting ready with our best friends, and they made us comfortable in front of the camera, which we definitely didn't think we would be! I CAN NOT say enough good things about Viera. I love taking pictures and can get very picky about photos, so finding the right photographers was really important to me on my wedding day. I'm so happy to went with Viera. Jaime and Dennis made the process leading up to the wedding so easy and day off was a blast. I was able to be present and enjoy my wedding more know that Jaime and Ashley were working hard to capture all the moments.

Choosing a photographer for our wedding was one of the hardest decisions that we made for our wedding. I'm picky, and my photographer mother was weighing in with her critical opinion. I researched, spoke with, and/or met dozens of photographers in the Bay Area. All we have to say is WOW! Jaime, Dennis and Mischa are so incredibly talented at capturing the most amazing photos from our wedding weekend! We love their style and artistry, and we also love hanging out with them. Also, hanging out with them, was just that! Hanging out! When we met them for the first day event, it felt like we were already friends from our conversations on the phone through the year that I contacted them. We were with them over a span of 3 days for our multiple wedding events so we spent a lot of time together!

When I first stumbled across Viera Photographics website, I felt like I had hit the wedding photography jackpot. Their style was what I had been trying to find for so long - a sense of being truly 'in' the day and not just witnessing it from the outside.

Viera Photographics are incredible people and even better photographers. As our wedding day has come and gone and the magic dust has started to settle, we'll always cherish having Jaime and Dennis by our sides through it all. They're truly remarkable storytellers who earned our trust and confidence from the start. Never did we look back and see missed opportunities or wished we did things differently.
