Smoot Eye Care
Dr. Smoot treats all ages and manages a variety of eye conditions. Smoot Eye Care sees children as young as 6 months. The staff at Smoot Eye Care understands your busy and demanding lifestyle and offers eye exams at convenient times for you. Smoot was so kind and helpful! I came to Bedford to visit my daughter for a few days and realized the first morning that I didn't bring any of my contacts!

I called my eye doctor at home and they reached out to Dr. Smoot. She was a lifesaver and today. She got me all fixed up so I could enjoy my stay and drive home safely! Thank you Dr. Smoot! I had the best experience there tonight! They helped me pick out frames (like my own little fashion show) and were so personable and friendly.

Myopia prevention is a relatively new venture in optometry to try to reduce the rate of change or development of high prescriptions in children. Maintaining good eye health is important - it requires regular exams and starts at a very young age. Smoot Eye Care LLC is helping the parents to teach the importance of eye health.
Dr. Michelle Smoot is a 2008 graduate of the Indiana University Optometry School, IUSO. She worked as a research optometrist studying contact lenses and dry eye at the IUSO Borish Center following graduation. Before starting her own practice, Dr. Smoot completed a pediatric and binocular vision residency at IUSO in 2010.
Eye examinations are an essential part of preventive health care. Many eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms. As a result, individuals are often unaware that problems exist. Early diagnosis and treatment of eye and vision problems are important for maintaining good vision and eye health, and when possible, preventing vision loss.
Maintaining good eye health is important - it requires regular exams and starts at a very young age. Smoot Eye Care LLC is helping the parents to teach the importance of eye health. We love helping children see. In a children's exam, we check binocular coordination, eye movement skills, peripheral awareness, and focusing skills.
Contact lenses are among the safest forms of vision correction when patients follow the proper care and wearing instructions provided by their eye doctor. However, when patients do not use lenses as directed, the consequences may be dangerous. Contact lenses are medical devices and are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration.

When Dr. Watts retired, who'd I'd gone to for many years, I thought "Oh No!" My nephew recommended Dr. Smoot and I've found a nice new doctor! Very professional and I received a through exam. I was impressed also with the wide selection of frames to choose from. The office support staff are friendly and helpful. Doctor Smoot is my new optometrist! Nice experience start to finish.

These are some of the sweetest people! The doctor certified for Pediatric Eyecare; she is very professional, gentle, and has my prescription as the best it’s ever been. I’ve been going here for years and I am so happy to stay a loyal patient here.

Dr. Smoot actually saved my moms life with her eye exam. She saw a spot on my moms eye and sent her to a doctor, it turned out she needed a mass removed from her brain and was suffering mini strokes. The doctor and those in the office are the most friendly, knowledgeable I've ever met. I enjoy my visit to them and my family will forever be thankful for the doctor, eye exams are so vital and I never understood until that day. If you want people who are not only knowledgeable, but also compassionate and friendly, THIS is the only place to go!❤👍 I'd give them 100 star status if I could!
