GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN SCHOOL is a Christian school. The staff is committed to the teaching of God's Word and to assisting children in their spiritual development. We respond to God's grace through daily devotional time, mealtime prayer and corporate worship. The school began in 1956 as a ministry of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Good Shepherd Lutheran School is a ministry of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The church's mission statement is "Loving, Living, and Sharing Christ", living out our faith in response to all that God has done for us. Our Church & School have been a part of this community for more than 63 years.
Our Good Shepherd staff is a dedicated group of persons that work diligently every day in this important mission of our congregation. We give thanks for their commitment. The fine reputation of our school and its staff has inquiring parents tell us they keep hearing "Good Shepherd is THE place to send your children".
We absolutely LOVE Good Shepherd! It is very hard to find a school that is both nurturing and educational and they have done it perfectly. It is affordable, they offer before and after care and the classrooms are organized and structured. We love that they are set up just like the kindergarten and first grade classrooms in the area so the children get used to that kind of environment.

All one has to do is walk through Good Shepherd School and you will know this is the place for your special child. At Good Shepherd each child is valued as a special creation of God. Having infant care though nursery programs, this special time of a child's life is spent in a loving/caring environment. In addition to a top drawer NYS accredited academic program and full OCFS license, Good Shepherd provides one more key experience: FAITH BASED programs where children learn how special they are as God's child...loved in everyway. All faith communities are welcome and respected. Children experience

Good Shepherd has been so beneficial to my 2 1/2 year old. The teachers are well-trained, dedicated and caring. The curriculum is educational, fun and effective. It's a very warm, friendly and nurturing atmosphere for the kids, as well as the parents. Another parent and myself assisted with a party and were AMAZED at how well-behaved and cooperative the children were. Just a week ago I heard my kid trying to sing God Bless America and recite the Pledge of allegiance! :-) I did visit a few pre-schools in the area and Good Shepherd was the only one that I felt comfortable sending my daughter to.

We absolutely LOVE Good Shepherd! It is very hard to find a school that is both nurturing and educational and they have done it perfectly. We love that they are set up just like the kindergarten and first grade classrooms in the area so the children get used to that kind of environment. The classrooms are so spacious, they have a separate gym, library and two fenced in playgrounds. Between the STEM program, Art class, Gym class, Music class, Movement class and iPads and SmartTable in every room,
