Was having issues with my computer turning on and running super slow. I have an older gaming laptop so spec wise, it was already comparable to lower end laptops. Changed out the hard drive. Put an SSD in for about a third of what it would have cost me to get a new pc and now it works fantastic. I should get a few more years without having to spend money on a new laptop.

Erik did a great job upgrading my old laptop to Windows 10 from Windows 7. I was nervous about the computer being too old for Windows 10 but it is like having a brand new computer.
Erik recommended that I replace my old hard drive with a new SSD hard drive which I know has made a big difference with the speed.

I would definitely recommend Honest Guy Computer Repair. The service was easy to contact and I was able to make an appointment quickly. Erik was on time for the appointment and set up a guest network for my office in no time. I didn't feel like he was talking down to me, since I obviously knew nothing about computers, and that was refreshing. From our initial discussion in which he asked a few questions about the problem I experienced and he described a couple of possible repair scenarios, to the telephone call in which he told me what he found and his recommended action, to when I picked up the computer, Eric was nice, polite, and professional. As a bonus, he gave me a suggestion of something that I should try on a different laptop that I implemented with great success!

Erick was very helpful when my hard drive became corrupt. I delivered my computer to him on a Thursday afternoon and he was able to fix it by Friday morning. He was very professional and explained what the issue was so I understood exactly what the issue was and that was helpful. If I have any issues with my computer in the future, I will definitely call Honest Guy Computer Repair.

Very good customer service. Very professional. Spent nearly $200 just for battery replacement. Problem still persisted. Had to order a new adapter myself and that fixed the issue. Really upset about the money I paid on a misdiagnosis. Aside from that, this business offers exceptional customer service.

My 83 year old mom got a virus on her older Vista computer. She uses it every single day and was very concerned about the fake 'microsoft virus' popup that appeared on her computer as this is a scam and she fell for it. Eric was more than just kind and considerate, he drove out to mom's house the next day, fixing her computer completely, cleaning the problems off of it, removing the remote software, and all the while treating her with respect. Background: My husband updated his work laptop to windows 10 and it pretty much wrecked it. His applications stopped working and his computer was no longer registering simple commands. Eric was great! After a bad experience with another computer repair place, I found Eric and am glad I did. I was thankful to Honest Guy for the great work of restoring all 3 of my laptops. I got one back a few days after sending it off for repair. I have to admit that I did not expect them to be able to restore one of them, because a previous repair company pretty much destroyed the system (to the point that they put my information on an external hard drive and told me to part out the rest of the computer). The knowledge of the Honest Guy and his ability to make quality repair of my computer, definitely have me as a permanent customer!

I was not able to connect to the internet from my hotel room. Erik identify the connection issue and he was able to connect to the net from his place of business. However, I still had the connection issue once I returned to my hotel room. As of today, things are fine from any other location. Erik is a personable professional. Erik of Honest Guy really knows his stuff, and is extremely fair on pricing (especially when you compare him to big places like Geek Squad). I can't describe how awesome it is to run into a business that actually cares about its customers, and doesn't take advantage of their clientele by "inventing" problems to solve. I was pleasantly surprised by the bill, and especially by just how pleasant this company was to work with. Would definitely, definitely

Prompt, professional service. Eric could not have been more helpful and accommodating with drop-off and pick-up (my work schedule is difficult). Diagnosis was done quickly, repair was completed promptly, price for replacement parts was fair, labor charge very reasonable. All in all, a class act and an asset to the community. Kudos! :)
