At American Karate we strive to develop the body, mind and spirit through rigorous training. We have all kinds of students, and everyone is welcome at our dojo. Our martial arts program begins at age 3.5 years (Kinder Karate) and continues through childhood (Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced classes), to Adulthood (Adult Class, Cardio Kickboxing).
Studying the martial arts throughout the lifespan is an excellent way to remain healthy and fit. See our Class Descriptions to find the class that is right for you!

My daughter just started at American Karate recently, and absolutely loves it. It's definitely helping her develop discipline, create small goals for herself and work towards them diligently. It also gives her a great outlet for her boundless energy and athleticism! Mr. Durney and Ms. Bell are fantastic teachers, and they were specifically recommended to us by someone who knows my daughter well. I'm so grateful we've found this place!

If you want your kids to learn to focus, discipline, respect others, and to build physical strength, American Karate is the right place to send your kids to. My kids will be testing for Red belt in a couple of months after 4 years of hard training while balancing with academics and other extracurricular activities. I am so proud of them and so thankful to Mr. Durney and Ms. Hannah for their hard work and caring. I highly recommend American Karate.

My daughter trained at American Karate. Mr Durney was a great partner in teaching my daughter so many life lessons...setting goals, working through setbacks, emotional control, teamwork, handling physical and emotional pain. He definitely was critical in giving her the tools to handle studying a hard science at a major university. Thank you and well done
