I believe that finding the root of medical problems and treating the source of disease, as well as empowering people to take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing, will allow people to stop focusing on their own problems and look outward to heal the world around them. I work with families to help create a healthy foundation from which to grow, using acupuncture, herbal medicine, essential oils, exercise and nutrition.
Acupuncture is one of the more widely used forms of treatment used in Chinese medicine, and is used to promote healing in the body. It is performed by inserting tiny, sterile, single use, stainless steel needles into different areas of the body, based on the practitioner's diagnosis of imbalances in the body's energetic flow.
Acupatching is a safe, effective technique that uses LifeWave phototherapy patches to stimulate acupoints to treat your symptoms and make you feel better. Light Therapy patches, also known as "Phototherapy" patches, are worn on the skin or clothing on acupuncture points for up to 24 hours, depending on the patching plan we create together.
Our Soul Sprout practitioners are out of network providers for most major insurance companies. We would be happy to check your insurance benefits and inform you about your coverage. If you need to cancel your appointment, please give as much notice as possible. You will be charged for any appointment canceled within 24 hours of your appointment time.
Acupuncture can be helpful during cancer treatment beginning at the diagnosis stage to keep the body strong, reduce symptoms and side effects, and improve a person's quality of life. It can be helpful through chemotherapy and radiation treatment to improve or resolve many of the side effects, including some for which there are no other therapies that provide significant relief.

I had never received an acupuncture treatment prior to seeing Maureen at Soul Sprout. Her warm energy made the experience so easy and immediately put me at ease. We discussed all of the issues I hoped to address first and I did not feel rushed at all during our discussion.
The main reason for my visit was back/neck pain from a pinched nerve and I am less than 2 weeks away from my wedding. I immediately experienced relief within a few minutes of my session and needless to say I will continue to be a regular client.

I was in acupuncture treatment in NYC and was very lucky to find Soul Sprout Family Acupuncture when I moved to Short Hills. The practitioners I worked with (Dr. Maureen Giese and Caroline Purdy) were amazingly caring, knowledgeable and accommodating. Just in a span of a couple of sessions I was able to achieve the desired result. Dr. Giese was especially supportive. Her calmness and expertise was a major source of confidence in a very trying time in my life.

I love Maureen and the folks at Soul Sprout. Everyone is so warm and inviting and the space is one of healing and meditation.
