I saw Scott Ellard 30 years ago and he did amazing work on my front teeth I needed crowns I had broken them when I was a child. He told me at the time they wouldn't last my entire life we recently reconnected, and he just finished doing some fantastic work. Every experience my husband and I have had in Dr Ellard’s office has been a positive experience! He is, by far, the best dentist we have ever had! From the minute you walk in the front door until the minute you leave you will be amazed with your visit! My husband, who has never liked going to the dentist before, says it is almost fun going to the dentist now! Upon entering the office you are immediately welcomed by Dr Ellard’s compassionate, friendly, and professional office staff and you are surrounded by a relaxing and beautiful atmosphere. When I first started coming here I made it clear that I’m not a fan of dentists. The staff immediately worked with me and made sure I have the same hygienist that talks me through everything she’s going to do before she does it. Now a few yrs later I look forward to coming in and seeing everyone and saying hi. The staff is so friendly and helpful and always making sure that my visits are always a positive one. I cannot thank them enough for everything they do. They have helped me make sure that my teeth look amazing!

I have been seeing dentists for over 60 years. This practice is wonderful. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely like what they do! My husband and I moved to this area a year ago after living in our previous home town of Traverse City for 54 years. One of our most daunting jobs after relocating here was to get established with all new health care providers. This is the first dentist office I have been to in a long while that cares to truly listen to your concerns and take a vested interest in your overall health. Near the beginning of 2017 I was looking for a new dentist in the Portage area and I found Dr Ellard from a simple Google search. Can I just give a shout out to the staff at Scott Ellards Dentistry! I had to have an emergency visit yesterday, not only did they squeeze me in before our trip but I had to take the boys and the staff there took them! They got to pick out a prize, drive their little cars all over the lobby, they turned on cartoons for them and even took them outside to run around. I cannot tell you how much this mama appreciates this, especially after finding out I'll need a root canal and being in so much pain. HUGE thank you!!

There's a great team of folks working here to provide excellent care. I ask a lot of questions about what they are doing and looking at, and I'm always treated with respect and given the information I request without the bat of an eyelash.
