Dr. Desh is a board certified specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, a prestige only 1 in 3 orthodontists obtain.
Our initial consultations are complimentary and last about 45 minutes. During that visit, our staff will acclimate you to our office and take a digital X-ray to ensure proper diagnosis. Dr. Desh will then perform a comprehensive exam and explain how we can give you a beautiful smile. If you or your child can potentially benefit from orthodontic treatment, we will be happy to schedule a smile consultation for you.
Dr. Desh specializes in a variety of orthodontic techniques allowing us to better customize your individual needs by offering several treatment options. Clear braces are made of ceramic and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, ceramic braces are a great option for teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns.
The Damon System uses a combination of self-ligating brackets and high-tech memory shape wires to apply light, consistent forces to the teeth. The self-ligating brackets hold the wire into place with a clip, rather than an elastic tie, maintaining activation of the wire for a longer period of time so the braces do not need to be "tightened" every 4-6 weeks.
Traditional metal braces are what comes to mind for most people when they think of orthodontic treatment. These traditional braces are available in both metal and clear options. Made of a high-grade stainless steel, today's metal braces are sleeker, more comfortable and more effective than ever before.

My son finished his treatment recently with HD Orthodontics and this review is long overdue! I am 1000 percent satisfied with his two plus years of orthodontic treatment and the outcome of his now beautiful smile.
The office is gorgeous and spotlessly clean. They are always on time and routine appointments usually take less than 10 minutes. Their office is a smooth and efficiently run machine. All of the staff is super friendly. I've read the reviews that say that their level of extreme friendliness is disingenuous. That's just absurd. I'd rather the staff be overly friendly than not friendly

I had great experience at HD Orthodontics. The customer service was top notch the moment my wife and I arrived. The A-level treatment was never let up when transitioning from one staff member to the next. Coming from a from customer satisfaction driven industry, my visit was truly an amazing experience. I recently had my consultation with Dr. Desh and it was an amazing experience. It was a complimentary consult and she was extremely helpful and honest with me. The staff was SO NICE & they even had a welcome sign out for me. The ambiance and environment was awesome and very upbeat. Definitely consider this a top place for ortho in SoCal

What a wonderful experience! Didn't know you could possibly "LOVE" your orthodontists office but I certainly did. This was my first time visiting Dr. Desh and I will be moving forward with Invisalign. Would highly recommend her office. The staff is extremely professional and welcoming and felt completely safe with their COVID-19 protocols.

Dr. Desh is the best! I just finished my Invisalign treatment today, after having braces twice, and this was a breeze in comparison to my previous experiences. Dr. Desh is very attentive, and her staff are very friendly, and she makes sure you're comfortable and fully understand the process. She's very accommodating, and even offered to remove all my attachments for my wedding, which I ended up changing due to covid so we didn't have to do. She doesn't try to prolong your treatment to get more money, and offers very flexible payment options, which was great for me as I&apos

We chose Dr. Desh about a year and a half ago after researching and interviewing several other offices, and boy are we happy with our decision! She is an outstanding doctor, and our daughter loves her. We completely trust her, and we highly recommend her. Plus, it’s neat that the best orthodontist in Long Beach just so happens to be a woman. She’s a great role model for girls.

Huge PRAISE and GRATITUDE for HD Orthodontics! My 10 year old daughter is not even a patient here, and they helped us out with a broken wire!! Everyone was SUPER NICE and helpful! The office was beautiful, clean and ergonomic!! This place blew us away! WE MIGHT HAVE JUST FOUND OURSELVES A NEW ORTHODONTIST!!!!

My daughter began treatment when she was 7. She had severe overcrowding and the x-ray showed her adult teeth were coming in all over the place -- and not where they were supposed to.
In a few months, she will be getting her braces off and I can see that she will have an awesome smile.
In addition to my daughter's great smile and healthy bite, I am so impressed by Dr. Desh's and her staff's care of my daughter. They go the extra mile; after she got her braces they called in the evening to see how she was doing. My daughter

I started my treatment close to a year ago, and so far, they have exceeded my expectations. My treatment is moving along faster than I expected and couldn't be happier.
The staff is great, they make you feel part of their little family.
I'm a little sad my braces are coming off soon and I won't see them anymore but it was worth it.

At 26 years old, the last thing I wanted on my face was braces, not to mention my wedding was a year away so I opted for Invisalign. I have gone back every 6-8 weeks since 06/2017 for check ups and I never have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen (even when I come in earlier than scheduled!) As soon as they see me, all of the wonderful ladies know me by name and ask me about the wedding plans and I am always so happy that they remember! Working in customer service, I always strive to makes our clients feel welcomed

I am nine months into my braces and I still love Dr. Desh and the whole HD Ortho staff. They are always available for any questions, seriously! Dafne, the coordinator answers the phone anytime, she must get it forwarded to her cell, because day or night she always picks up.
I also love how accommodating they are, one day I totally spaced on my Appt and they called me and I ran in and thy still made time for me even though I was 45 minutes late.
Lastly, they really listen to their patients. I genuinely feel like they care and take everything you say into consideration.
