First visit with Dr. Gilbert today and the staff were all incredibly friendly and thorough. I have always been more satisfied with doctors that can answer my questions before I can even think of them and everyone here knows their stuff. Never left any details out. Let me know what they were doing why and how it is for my benefit. Were very communicative about what my insurance covers what it doesn't and how to work with what I need. And they have a hood sense of humor to boot. All in all a place I expect to get my regular eye care for some time to come

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Gilbert for more than 20 years. He is thorough, professional, and they currently have the new equipment that are offered in other eye centers. He goes over your medical health issues as well since some issues can affect your eyes. His staff are friendly and helpful when picking out your frames etc. All in all an excellent experience and we'll continue seeing him.

Dr.Gilbert is an expert at his craft and communicates very well, he doesn’t simply go through the motions and explains to you every step of the way what hes doing and why he’s doing it, the ladies in his front staff are always very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. Would give 10 stars if i could.

Love the staff and doctor at Dr. Gilbert's Optometry! I have been coming on and off for 8 years and they have always been quick, professional, personable, and courteous!
I think they are especially good at communicating. I.e. Good explanation of various eye exam tests they use their machines for. I also really like that Dr. Gilbert takes the time to review and explain all your test results and answer fully any questions I might have.
I've had contacts for over 25 years and they are the best optometrists I've experienced hands down!

The best around by far! I was going to Target optical for awhile until I developed keratoconus. The doctors there were just not experienced enough to help and could never really answer my questions. After regular visits with my ophthalmologist I switched to Dr. Gilbert. He really is amazing and so thorough in his exams. He uses multiple instruments to ensure a perfect prescription. They have a good selection of frames and a lot of trendy/name brand options if that's what your into. 10/10 would recommend especially if you have any eye issues that big chains can't handle.

The staff and doctor are great. The staff answer all questions, are very friendly and kind. I had some insurance questions that they went above and beyond to help me with.
My exam was thorough but quick. The doctor explained every test to me and the reason they were done. I was never confused and nothing felt unnecessary. He was quick but I wasn't rushed , he made sure I understood my own eyes and I didn't feel like just another patient.
They have frames in all different price ranges. They have a nice selection that's not overwhelming and they explain all costs with no hesitation

This is the best optometrist ever! They did an amazing job for me, ordered the particular brand of glasses for my son witch is made in Spain Nano Vista they ordered it for me in Canada! Besides that my son lost a temple from his glasses in the school and they help me to replace that part for free!! Also order a super cute baby frame for my 2 year old daughter! I am beyond happy, thank you so much for been so awesome:))))

My vision plan changed this calendar year so I was on the hunt for an office that accepted my plan. I found this gem in the same shopping center as my favorite coffee spot. This was my first visit to this office, so I appreciated Dr. Gilbert walking me through every step of the exam to explain what he was doing and why. He was very thorough. I requested a consultation for lasik online. I got a call the following day, Monday, from the receptionist that I could get in on Tuesday. I took the appointment and asked for an email confirmation. I got one. When I got to my appointment, she said I had no appointment. I showed her my email. Then she asked me what I wanted. She said they don't do lasik and that another doctor in Newport beach would do it for 6k. She told me this without a doctor ever looking at my eyes. Don't go here.

Our family has been coming to Dr. Gilbert for about 22 years. We love Dr. Gilbert and his staff and would never go anywhere else. His staff - always professional, always courteous, always ready to put a smile on your face, as they are hilarious. Kami and Jeannine are always welcoming and always go above and beyond to help with all your eye care needs. Kami just fitted our granddaughter for eyeglasses. I just started coming to Dr. Gilbert this year. The ladies who work in the office are very sweet and super accommodating, even to my rambunctious 4 year old. When I visited for me they gave my daughter paper and crayons to keep busy. When we visited for my daughter, they remembered me from previously, and were still super awesome to my daughter and Dr. Gilbert was great with her. He even gave me an opportunity to take a picture of my daughter in the chair for her first eye exam!
I can see myself coming to this office for years to come.
