Carl and Gail Olson opened Floorcraft in 1992. They started in the New London Shopping Center and quickly moved to a larger location in New London only a year later. Their need for more showroom space and greater warehouse capacity prompted them to build on Route 11 in Wilmot Flat in 1995, where Floorcraft remains today.

Their son Ken and daughter-in-law Tobyn started full time with the company in 2001. After working hard to learn all aspects of the business, they bought Floorcraft in the fall of 2012. Floorcraft is a family owned and operated business that strives to offer quality products at everyday low prices. We are service oriented and available to help our customers before, during and after the sale.

Carpet has come quite a long way since the late 1990s. Thanks to recently-developed manufacturing technologies, today's new carpet have many benefits and advantages to offer. It is quieter, softer, safer, warmer and definitely more foot-friendly. Today it is truly strain-resistant giving users meaningfully more value for their money.
When you install ceramic & porcelain tiles in your home, you know you'll have a rich flooring experience with many great benefits. These floors bring the feel of luxury and elegance while offering protection against daily wear and foot traffic. At the same time, it can be perfect for flooring one room or every space in your home, as it can be a beneficial addition to every room.
Hardwood flooring is one of the most popular flooring materials today. This is because it provides versatile design and function possibilities, along with a beautiful 'aesthetic' visual that gives each installation its own unique 'look' and personality. The trees from which hardwood materials are harvested tend to grow much slower, which makes their wood a denser, more durable material for flooring use.
Floor shopping can be a tedious venture, but narrowing your selection down to laminate might just be the best way to simplify the process. This material has just enough variety to meet many of the requirements you have for your flooring, as well as looking great. Various appearance options, including the wood, stone, and tile looks, means you can easily match your decor.

FloorCraft has been our go-to for all of our flooring and tiling needs for over a decade. We’ve had them do several carpet installations, hardwood floor refinishing, kitchen backsplash and bathroom shower tiling. They are professional and prompt, give great advice and input when you need it, are very trustworthy, have a great selection of products in all price ranges, and all around do a top notch job. Their family-like atmosphere and approach is the icing on the cake! No need to go anywhere else!
