I was with my last dentist for 25 years. After several years of bad advice, or rather no advice, I ended up needing major oral surgery. Left him, found Dr. Thuy Bui and now I feel I’m where I should be. The office is clean. You’re immediately greeted by Giao, who is extremely friendly, professional, and efficient. I appreciate how Dr. Bui studied my records, went over my dental conditions, listened to my concerns, discussed different treatment options, and then we created a plan. Dr Bui and staff are excellent. I love a dentist with small hands who cares. Dr Bui offers practical suggestions for the long term care of my teeth and oral health, cleanings are done efficiently and on time and I really appreciate her friendly and professional office staff. Agree with another post- They were super nice but it was the most violent cleaning I've ever had! I'm in so much pain after this, I'll never go back. I'm not scared of the dentist but I was full body clenched the entire cleaning.

I got recommended to dr bui for the first time and I’m very picky of my dentist but when meeting her she was lovely and made me feel better about getting all the work done in my mouth that I need done, she’s gentle and patient. Plus the safety with COVID right now they are doing great job!

Dr Bui is fantastic, she explained everything and was extremely thorough. My teeth were cleaned so well, I truly never had a cleaning like that. Staff was very nice, helpful and professional. The only thing I wish they could adjust, was the length of time an appointment is scheduled. It takes a very long time to get in there, so be prepared to wait!

Dr. Bui and her staff in Alameda are very professional with prompt, efficient, and friendly service. I have been getting my teeth cleaned there several times a year for roughly 15 years. I can back this claim up as I no longer live in Alameda yet I have continued to follow up with them several times a year even though I relocated to the Central Valley of California in 2007.

I never had a great experience with this dentist for myself and my kids ever before. And now it's my 70 years old mom with a stroke went with this dr for so long and many times paid her cash for any treatment that medical does not cover. Before I made the decision to switch over to an Orthodontist after having a second and third opinion, and realizing that Dr. Bui was not an adequate doctor, as least for my case.

It took me nearly 3 YEARS, $5K, two missing tooth and lots of stress, & my teeth still aren't straight with two large gaps and some shaved down teeth.

This is my first visit to Dr Bui's office due to change in my healthcare insurance and my former dentist retirement. I found this office via Yelp and emailed them as a first time patient. The office staff member Yao was so friendly and helpful on the phone that I was assured of a stellar office visit come March. Just had my cleaning with Dr Bui this week and found her very supportive of my current mouth and dental hygiene and a prospective restorative crown in my near future. I have been getting my dental work done by Dr. Bui for over 15years. The staff are all friendly and professional. Dr. Bui is very professional and gives you her best opinion on any dental issues. The atmosphere makes the place feel more comfortable and calm before you get your teeth worked on.

This office is one of the cleanest and most professional practices that I've been to in a long time. Every area of this place from the waiting room to the exam area to the restrooms are spotless and completly sanitized. Their exam area is very comforting, the "mood" music and soothing blue sky light covers make every appointment a peaceful experience. Dr.Bui is one of the greatest dentist in Alameda, she always takes her time to fully evaluate each patient's specific needs and does a great job in getting everyone's teeth to tip top shape.

Saw Dr bui regarding a root canal, came back to her for the crown and while trying to file the tooth down, she cuts the bottom of my tongue with her tool, and then laughs about it! I am so thoroughly disgusted with her. Never will be back!

Also forgot to mention shes a fraudster! She will bill your insurance for whatever is allowed, whether or not that procedure was completed!

Dr. Bui has been my dentist for a few years now, and I'd say that my experience here has been great. The wait to get my teeth cleaned isn't long and the staff here is quite friendly, always greeting me with a warm smile. Dr. Bui has always been professional. She's ready to answer any questions that I have and is quick to inform me on the condition of my oral health. I've been going here since I was a kid. Mom brought me and my brothers. She seems to like Dr Bui. I don't not. I dread everytime I go see herbecause I always leave in pain.

So last week I accidentally missed my appointment and rescheduled for 12/21. I got a call on 12/20 saying that they wanted to move my appointment because one of their other clients couldn't make it to their 11am appointment. After almost three years without a tooth, and after seeing numerous dentists who offered costly solutions that turned out to be unattainable, and after two false starts that left me nearly broke and in tears, I finally found a dentist who was able to do the work and not have it cost me a fortune.
Dr. Bui precisely knew what to do immediately and this procedure was simple and totally affordable.
Beyond this, Dr. Bui and her kind and friendly staff made me feel welcome and they are always nice. The waiting room is clean and quiet, the music is calming and the work area is pristine.

I have been coming to Dr. Bui, ( pronounced buoy or boo-e), for 3 years now. She's moved from across from the KFC, to across from blue dot cafe, corner of Encinal and Chestnut. Very nice location, if you know Alameda.
Dr. Bui is the kind of dentist with a polite, honest demeanor. She will recommend only what is necessary, and work with you on the financial side (payment wise). Well educated and experienced. She has this technique of making Novocain injections feel painless.
