Owned by Rollins College, a private coeducational liberal arts college in Winter Park, The Alfond Inn was built with a $12.5 million grant from the Harold Alfond Foundation.
Winter Park is a doggie paradise with many parks and local shops welcoming dogs. We look forward to welcoming your Very Important Pup to The Alfond Inn in our designated rooms and suites. A nonrefundable service charge of $50 per day and guestroom will be added to your guestroom account. From what I experienced there, was there for a large meeting for work. The facility was great, food was incredible. And it seems like a little thing, but one of the nicest men's room adjacent to the hall we were using.
I cannot speak to the rooms, but everyone I had interactions with were very polite and helpful.

Amazing customer service! I had a great experience at their breakfast with Santa event. I had a question prior to booking and when I called 2 people went out of their way to speedily get an answer for me. Once there the spread was good and there were some options my picky toddler was willing to eat. A waiter helped me scoop my food at the buffet when my child started getting a little fussy. And the line to take photos with Santa went quickly and the elf that got photos with my phone got some wonderful shots. I really appreciate her. Overall this was a great experience.

Get organized. have enough and better food. mashed potatoes were not even mashed. whole chunks of potatoes. like rocks. carrots under cooked. got small piece of turkey before the ran out. 3 times. rolls were out for about an hour. shrimp were so small I really believe they were not even legal size. desserts. well started ok till they ran out. with… that as well. so they bring out some store bought pie. but could not bring it to them self to cut it .. should have just taken a whole pie to me table. listen to at least 20 ppl complaining.. will never go back abd make sure everyone I know won

We have been coming to the Alfond since day one of its original build. Each time we are here they bend over backwards to accommodate our every need. It feels like a home away from home. We are thrilled they are expanding their operations. This is a gem to Winter Park and Rollins College. We highly recommend the Alfond Inn! 5 out of 5 in our books! The art is just a plus as you enjoy the luxurious accommodations.

I hosted a birthday luncheon at Hamilton’s Kitchen recently and it was an extraordinarily positive experience. Without a doubt, the service, food and atmosphere exceed any in our area. We are grateful to Christopher for going the extra mile for our outdoor table of 12, and for making sure we were perfectly located. We also appreciated Jorge’s excellent table service. Thomas at valet was also extremely accommodating. The entire staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us. Thank you! 🏆

We had a fabulous experience at the Alfond Inn this last week! We were greeted by warm and friendly people, who sincerely cared about the customers, in every aspect of the hotel. From the front desk, to the valet, to the lounge, to the housekeeping, we were blown away by the generosity and hospitality of this hotel. We found this to be an exceptional value for the luxury and kindness we received around every corner. Thank you, Alfond Inn, for making our daughter’s college drop-off the best possible experience.

Beautiful boutique-like hotel. Just amazing. The valet guys were so friendly and inviting. The front of house staff were also just so welcoming. Our room was excellent and had a beautiful balcony. My husband and I were so happy we got to stay in such a great spot so close to great restaurants (a favourite being the New General cafe) on the sand street as the hotel! Also- the Alfond had live music in the evening! Their dinner menu had jackfruit which was a welcome item for plant based eaters! They also have a gorgeous courtyard- can’t wait to come back!

Our family has held reunions here 6 of the last 7 years. They were always such fun -- and enhanced by the once delightful ambience of The Alfond and staff. All that has disappeared post-pandemic.
Our reunion this past weekend (June 2021) was riddled with snooty and dismissive staff -- from valet parking to front desk -- overpriced everything, lousy service, and dirty rooms that should be reported to the health inspectors.
This once wonderful hotel has deteriorated into a place for wealthy slummers. Never again for this family!

Room was booked as two queen sized beds but in actuality it was two full sized. Got stuck with this room for a week and was incredibly uncomfortable for my husband and I to share a bed. The staff at the desk insisted it was two Queen beds so I just didn't push the issue.
They don't really enforce the masks rules for customers but staff we're always masked. Tons of maskless people on weekends.
They claim the pool to be 86* all year but it was very, very cold.

Very disappointing place!
As an engineer, I arrived late on a biz flight from San Francisco to Orlando. Upon arrival to Winter Park, I had trouble finding the hotel, so I decided to call their phone number. The hotel front desk did NOT pick up, as I spent considerable time driving in circles looking for this place.
FTR, the shower in this "4-star" leaked water all over the BR floor, the heater did not work so the room was freezing, and when I tried to call the front desk, the phone went dead. Add to that, this place has no regular food service onsite (weekends only), they don&apos

We had reservations here but realized everything in the hotel was closed, so we stayed 4 miles away for a fraction of the cost. We came here for the day looking forward to seeing the Tiffany collection, art at the Cornell, along with the charming shops and cafés. As pretty as everything is, not much is opened except lots of outdoor cafés on Park. Disappointed! We will have to come back!

Beautiful property! Staff is amazing as well. The property is small, I would consider the property to be of a more boutique style hotel. The location is fantastic. Walkable to all the best things winter park has to offer. Worth the price in comparison to other 4 star hotels in Orlando. Much calmer vibe than typical Orlando hotels

Sad to say that I was not impressed with The Alfond Inn. We stayed there the night before my best friends wedding. The check-in process was fine other than the front desk clerk being a little too chatty when all we wanted to do was get to our room.
The room was not impressive at all. We had a suite with a kitchen--refrigerator, sink, cabinets, nice countertops. However, there were zero kitchen items in the actual kitchen. Glasses? Nope. Silverware? Nope. Hand towels? Nope. Paper towels? Nope. The cabinets were literally empty. Why have cabinets with nothing in them? It was really ridiculous.

And I didn't eat at the hotel restaurant....
I was in the area at a museum and one of the museum workers told me about the collection of contemporary art they had throughout the hotel, and how anyone was able to walk around and see the collection.
Apparently the Alfond's (namesake of the hotel) were avid art collectors. The works in their collection were donated to Rollins College and are part of the permanent collection of the Cornell Fine

My girlfriend and I stayed here for wedding festivities in February. She was in the wedding, so it made it easier that we stay here compared to another nearby destination.
This is a very elegant venue. They have a few spacious event spaces, a restaurant and a bar. It looked like they put out fresh cookies near the elevator constantly but they seemed to disappear within minutes. They also have a fresh water station in the lobby, which was nice.
The employees were friendly and were always able to handle any situations that arose.
The nice little downtown is within walking distance to grab a coffee

All I can say about The Alfond Inn at Rollins College is that for a boutique hotel the porte cochere and valet is very impressive. I can say there are beautiful live orchids on displayed throughout the entrance and lobby areas. I can say the lobby, lounge and parlor are exquisitely designed and decorated and the perfect backdrop and muse for amazing selfies and group pictures. I can say there is an unbelievable art gallery on full display through the conference centre colonnade of the hotel. With that being said, I've taken the guided art tour (art on loan from a private collection), attended a wedding here, dined at Hamilton's kitchen, and had drinks on the lawn.
