We bought an existing Van Gilder home and love the quality! But, the first owner did some funky things after the inspection that were not code and caused a multitude of problems., especially with the way he landscaped, which resulted in water backing right up to our doorstep in a rainstorm. Understanding Van Gilder had no responsibility to help us fix these issues, he has come and helped us solve many of the issues and more than that, he was sympathetic to our situation. He has sent crews in to fix things and done it with a smile on his face. We've built many times with different builders....but
