The third of nine children, plastic surgeon Robert Kearney MD, FACS, graduated from Providence College cum laude and received his Medical Degree from Thomas Jefferson School in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Kearney completed his general surgery residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
He then went on to complete his plastic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and finally a craniofacial fellowship in Miami under S.A. Wolfe MD, an internationally renowned craniofacial surgeon.Upon completion of his plastic surgery training, he returned to the full-time faculty at the University of South Florida in Tampa where he trained future plastic surgeons.

Most consultations typically last between 45 minutes to an hour, just depending on how many questions you have. Consultations are free of charge and you will always meet with Dr. Kearney to have your questions answered directly by him.

Your health (and ours) is our highest priority so we are making a few changes to our reopening so that you can feel safe and confident coming in to see us. Increasing the frequency of cleaning and sterilization to not only include exam rooms but also the waiting room, restroom, all doors, counters, etc.
Dr. Kearney performs breast augmentation under general anesthesia and you may go home the same day. Silicone implants come pre-filled which means that a slightly longer incision is made and Dr. Kearney is able to then place the implant through that opening. Saline implants don't come filled so Dr. Kearney will roll them up and place them through a smaller incision and then fill them once they are in the pocket.
Many women are unhappy with the size of their breasts, feeling they would be happier with their bodies, and look more attractive if their breasts were bigger and fuller. These women opt to have breast augmentation in San Diego performed by Dr. Kearney. Dr. Kearney is a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in breast augmentation.

I thought Robert was a good guy till he tried to charge me another 600 today when it was a revision surgery. Robert told me if I was not pleased with the results I could come back and he would fix it. Well, that was untrue! He was super rude to me, told me nothing was wrong with it when it's not on his body it's on mine. I have to look at this ever day. I feel like he was very unprofessional with the anger he had when he opened the door with anger and it slammed into the wall. I almost cried because I knew I should of put something in writing and instead I trusted his word. I am a student

Just wanted to say thank you to Dr.Kearney and his staff. I especially liked his nurse who assisted before and after. She was very kind and informative. I'm very happy with results of my second augmentation. First surgery was also with him about 12 years ago, i needed remove and replace. I had a procedure done with Dr. Kearney I believe the procedure was called ( skin tight. )The results were very minimal; nonetheless I wanted to come in for another treatment. Upon dialing his office Katie the office receptionist puts me on hold and without knowledge of who I was, she puts me directly to Dr. Kearney, he asked what I needed to told him I was interested in another procedure of a skin tightening, he says ok fine, he would transfer me back to Katie. Katie looks up my name and says I missed an appointment in 2018' and because of this, I was dropped as a patient! I was stunned!

I grew up in San Diego and many years ago Dr Kearney did a face lift on my mom and she was pleased with it. Flash forward, we moved to AZ to be closer to family. When I decided I wanted to get a procedure, she insisted that we travel to San Diego so that I could see Dr. Kearney. I had Dr Kearny perform my procedure and had fantastic results, I stayed in a nearby hotel and was comfortable and he worked with my schedule so I could leave town as soon as it was feasible. My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Kearney for about 5 years for various cosmetic procedures. I have been extremely happy. Unlike a lot of doctors, he is very easy to talk to AND he is a very skilled surgeon. Dr. Kearney is highly accredited, experienced, talented, practical and conservative, making sure that I get the results I want while helping me fully understand procedures and the parameters in which certain results can be attained. Dr. Kearney is a consummate professional and a perfectionist in his work. When I lived in Seattle I could never find a plastic surgeon who was consistently perfect in Botox application. It was a relief when I moved to San Diego to find Dr. Kearney. I have been going to his office for about 4 years now, and not one single time has he ever botched my Botox application. I used Shannon at Dr Kearney's office for my hair grafts. I have been searching and reviewing doctors for over 5 years before pulling the trigger on Dr Kearneys office. After meeting with Shannon, I knew this was the place for me. I am so happy with my results!! The first 3 months I was like OK anyday now, and Shannon walked me through the whole process month by month. After a few months I was like a chia pet, it just kept growing thicker and thicker. I have to say that I am completely shocked at how perfect my breast look after he did my breast surgery. I am a breast cancer patient and I had a prior lumpectomy that left my left breast 3 sizes smaller then my right breast, I had 3 prior breast implant surgeries with another plastic surgeon and still had issues on the breast cancer breast being flat and both breast not matching.
I went to Dr. Kearney in hopes that he could make them pretty again. He was completely honest and upfront with me, Love his bedside manner and his honesty.

Dr. Kearney and his staff are amazing there’s not enough positive things I can say. From beginning to my year end visit after surgery he & his staff take the time to sit and talk with you not just about your procedure, but any health questions you may have. The office & surgery center are both beautiful and calming which is so important if your going into a big nerve wracking procedure! Outstanding surgeon. "5" star service all the way. Katie the beautiful receptionists greeted me with a warm smile. Melissa the office manger was super friendly and was able to accommodate my busy schedule. Diora the nurse was very gentle and informative. Dr. Kearney hires well!

Look no further if you are considering getting a breast augmentation! Dr. Kearney and his staff are incredible. I had thought about getting my breast done for about 10 years and after many consultations I never felt like I found the right Doctor for me. When I met with him and his staff not only was the consult free but they spent over two hours with me as I was so nervous and didn't know what directions to go in. Dr. Kearney was supposed to inject my lips with Restylane. He managed to inject most of it incorrectly, creating a black and blue hard capsule on both sides of my upper lift. Additionally, Dr. Kearney's arrogance and coldness made the visit very uncomfortable. Due to the unpleasantness of the visit I decided just to wait for the filler to wear off. After three months the "capsules" have diminished but are still visible. Had to bite the bullet and go see him if anything can be done about them. Dr Kearny is the BEST plastic surgeon in San Diego. I had my breast augmentation back in May of 2013. No complaints at all. I choose sailne implants and my breasts look so natural people have a hard time telling the difference.

I could not be happier with my choice and my decision in general. I met with two doctors only. I was going to meet 3 but after meeting Dr Kearney who was #2, I knew he was my guy. On my first consult he spent ALOT of time explaining everything and the entire process was an education.
The office staff and Dr Kearney were extremely professional. The surgery itself was MUCH easier and the recovery MUCH easier than I anticipated. The nurses and anthologist and all staff were awesome
