If you have called my office, you have most likely talked to Taylor. Taylor runs the front office and handles everything from making appointments to billing insurance to ordering supplements for our patients and everything in between. In 2011, Taylor started working in my office at age 18, and is now a Chiropractic Assistant.
You want a doctor to listen intently to you. You want a doctor to be honest, and if you can be best helped somewhere else, refer you to the appropriate professional. You want a doctor to honor you by explaining, to your satisfaction, what your problem is and the best treatment options. You don't want a cookie cutter approach to care.
The saying, "God works in mysterious ways, " comes to my mind when I think about my journey. I was a very sickly child. From the time I was born until I was seven I was often sick. My main problem was my respiratory tract. I either had croup, asthma, bronchitis, or all three. I had a cough that would rattle the windows.
You will receive an email from Dr. Kilcup letting you know that he is ready to meet with you. Often this meeting is over the phone and the internet. Dr. Kilcup will email you the documents he wants to go over with you over the phone. During this initial meeting Dr. Kilcup will discuss your history with you to make sure he understands what is going on.
That is a great question, and you're right, I can't physically fix your back without getting my hands on you. It is very frustrating for me when I know that if I could just see the patient in person, I could fix his/her problem. Issues with muscles, joints and fascia require a hands-on approach. Often though, I can direct people to someone in their area who can provide the kind of care they need.

I am so blessed to have found Dr. Kilcup. My life took a turn for the worst about a year ago, as I was bombarded with symptoms that just didn't make sense. 9 ER visits and no answers from doctors as to what was rapidly deteriorating my health. Dr. Kilcup is GREAT with communication! Any time I have a question, he gets back to me via email right away. It is very easy to book an appointment with him & he gets you in, in a timely manner. I’ve been to many doctors who treated my symptoms, but never fixed the root of the problem. Dr. Kilcup put me through a series of tests to see what was actually wrong before treating me. Dr. Kilcup is a compassionate and very knowledgeable chiropractor and functional medicine doctor. I have had some mysterious health issues over the past 2 years and he has been very skillful in properly diagnosing and treating them all. My experience with Dr. Kilcup has been very revelatory. He's not one of those doctors who prescribe drugs because they'll make a commission. His treatments are based on current science and they're very thorough. He takes his time to explain test results and the customized treatment to be given to you. I have been seeing Dr. Kilcup for several years. I have neck and back pain often due to accidents and sports injuries. Dr. Kilcup is amazing and I feel better every time I am adjusted. During the time that I was being treated I saw the review of the woman who said her son was given walnuts that he was allergic to and he had a near fatal reaction. When I saw that I was very concerned but I became more concerned when he then forgot my name in an email and called me by another person's name. I understand that can happen to anyone but since he's a doctor I was concerned he had my file mixed up.
As his course of treatment to the tune of thousands of dollars, he prescribed large doses

I wanted so much to say he was great. I really liked his daughter Taylor, who's so kind as his assistant. He told me my iodine was low and I need to take a lot of it. I told him every single hashimoto's blog/article says it's bad for your thyroid and doesn't work. He asked me to trust him and ignore the internet, so I did. I loved every part of my experience as I visited Bethany for a massage this week. My job demands that I sit in uncomfortable contorted positions all day for the benefit of others. As a result, my neck and back are a mess! I have been going to Dr Kilcup for nearly a year now. I have been to many chiropractors over the years and he is top notch. My neck and back are difficult to adjust due to tight muscles, but because he takes the time necessary to relax the muscles first, we get a great result every time.
