Services
Dr. Lindsay Trahan Reed graduated from UL-Lafayette in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science. After graduation Dr Lindsay was accepted to LSU School of Veterinary Medicine where she attained a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She was introduced to Country Place Veterinary Clinic when she did her preceptorship rotation immediately prior to graduation.
Dr. Megan Simon is the newest associate at Country Place Veterinary Clinic. She graduated from Comeaux High School, Lafayette, La in 2013. After attending UL-Lafayette in the Pre-vet program from 2013 to 2015 she was accepted to LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr Megan received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 as the youngest in her class.
What I like best about working at CPVC: Working with the animals, talking with our clients, and learning new things every day. Cali shares her home with Rees, a German Shepard, Frankie, a terrier mix, and Mini Dachshunds named Tee and Oscar. Hobbies/Pass Times: Spending time with family. Reading, cooking, baking and hanging out with friends.
There are times in our lives where we simply cannot keep our animals with us for several days at a time. This could be during a relocation, vacation or even during a medical recovery. You can be sure that if any of these types of situations arise, Country Place Veterinary Clinic has limited boarding facilities for your pet.
Country Place Veterinary Clinic is pleased to offer Dental Digital Radiography. Radiography, or x-ray, is an essential part to an animal having a thorough dental exam. Up to 60% of periodontal disease lies below the gumline, meaning that x-ray is able to identify this disease more accurately than a physical examination alone.

When looking for a vet and a good clinic I look for friendly and honest staff. However over here there were 3 incidents where that did not seem to be the case. The first was we the vet prescribed my PUPPY a medicine without even TESTING HER! The second was when I boarded my again PUPPY over there and when I went to pick her up was met with complaints about how she was aggressive, so naturally, I have friends with dogs so I scheduled a play date with very high supervision and to my surprise, she played very well with other animals. Now fast forward, my one-year-old dog went to get her nails trimmed

Dr. Jackie and her staff are the best. They are not only caring for the beloved pet but, the bereaved owner as well. They are reliable, professional, loving, caring caregivers. You can find no one better to entrust the care of your pet. I was given a report once or twice a day. I was encouraged to spend precious time each day with Sugar, my sweet cat. Unfortunately, he had to be put to sleep, but I want to thank Dr. Jackie and her amazing staff for their gentle care.

Dr. Jackie and her staff are wonderful! I'm not from around here, so when I called to have my 14 year old dog checked for a tumor, they made an effort to squeeze us in. My dog is a bit skittish, so the Doctor and assistant got down to her level and fed her treats while she was examined.
We are truly grateful people in the veterinarian field who are as caring as the folks at Country Care. Thank you!!

I love country place and staff! Knowledgeable, super friendly, and helpful. My dog hates going to the vet but they are always very patient and understanding with her. And if she has to stay overnight for anything someone gives me a full run down of how she did with them. Thank you all for the wonderful work y'all do!!

We've been going to Country Place Vet for many years. We absolutely love Dr. Jackie. You can feel her true love for animals. I trust her completely with the lives of our furry family members. The staff makes us feel comfortable as well, and they are great our the furry babies also!

My beloved cat had kittens. A few days later she stopped eating and purring, in fact she didn't make any sounds at all. I called another vet and they recommended that I bring her in the next day if she hadn't started to eat never offering an appointment. I noticed her jaw swollen so I call Country Place and got an appointment within 15 mins. Turns out Blythe had an abscess and would have died without treatment cat and kittens. Dr. Simon told what would work faster showed me how to get her to eat and she was better by the next day. Blythe is now stuck on canned food but it's a small price to pay

I've been going to Dr. Jackie Simon with Country Place Veterinary Clinic since she first opened 20+ years ago. She has always taken excellent care of my babies and is so compassionate and caring. I have had to let a few of my babies go over the years and she was there for me and my babies with such a caring heart. I can't thank her and her staff enough. My sweet Molly May Sassy Pants who was a rescue on the verge of death has gone from skin and bones, heart worm positive and later on mammary cancer and losing an eye to a healthy, happy, cancer and heart worm free dog, all thanks to the awesome

I am still fairly new to Country Place, but I love it. Dr. Simon is awesome and everytime I've brought my sweet boxer into her clinic she has been super helpful and patient. I trust her with my dog's health, and I feel very comfortable there. She listens and takes her time with us. Great vet clinic!! =)

We have used Country Place Veterinary Clinic for 8 years now for three of our dogs. They have had surgeries, teeth cleaning, allergy problems that needed immediate care and routine exams. Dr. Jackie and her staff have gone above and beyond to not only help our pups but also educate us on continued care. Recently the youngest pup was showing signs of concern so I called the office and not only was I given suggestions to help immediately from the staff but I also received a call after hours from Dr. Jackie checking on him and asking me questions to make sure it was nothing major. Love my vet!!
