At Congress Animal Hospital our goal is to provide you and your pet with quality veterinary services at a reasonable price. Congress Animal Hospital is a full service medical and surgical animal hospital treating canine and feline patients. Listed below are some of the many services we provide to keep your pet healthy and happy. If you have questions about our services or if one is not listed, please feel free to contact us during office hours.
Annual examinations, which includes a consultation with our vets to evaluate overall health and wellness. This will always include immunization for Rabies and Bordetella ("Kennel Cough"). Depending on previous vaccination history, it may also include immunization for Parvovirus, Distemper virus, Parainfluenza virus, Adenovirus, and Leptospirosis.
Annual examinations, which includes a consultation with our vets to evaluate overall health and wellness. Annual vaccinations, which includes immunization against: Rabies, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia, Chlamydia Psittaci, and Feline Leukemia Virus. Monthly flea prevention.
Our preventative of choice is a topical medication called Revolution because in addition to effective flea prevention, it also prevents intestinal parasites, heartworms, ear mites and lice.We also offer Advantage and Comfortis. Our staff can discuss these options in greater detail. We recommend that all male and female cats not intended for planned breeding be spayed or neutered.

Allergy is a state of hypersensitivity in which exposure to a harmless substance known as an allergen induces the body's immune system to "overreact." Dogs usually manifest their allergies or hypersensitivities in the form of skin disease, as opposed to people who usually display symptoms of respiratory disease or "hay fever" (watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing).

Mia, one of our family felines, was torn up in a cat fight a couple nights ago.
This morning her condition seemed worse, so I called Congress Animal Hospital; they were busy, but made time for us. Dr Jake Thibeaux was great, promptly evaluating and treating her wounds; and just as important, he gave me instructions how to continue the care at home. Thanks so much!

My dog has been to this clinic a few times before. I called to make an appointment because he was coughing up blood. Their first opening was two days away which was the only time I couldn’t bring him because I had a doctor appointment at the same time. The other time was almost a week away. He’s coughing up blood! You would think they could “fit him in”. Especially since he’s not a new patient. Won’t be going back! Too many other considerate vets in Lafayette. Made an immediate appointment with Lafayette Vet Care Center. They are great! Go there instead!

These guys are THE BEST! We got a rescue dog when we first moved to Louisana and he came to us with Heartworms and Ringworms. The vets here were compasionate and honest; helping us navigate our new family members health concerns. Chazz is now and tip top shape and happily terrorizing his brother (Scotty) who also gets 5 star service from Congress. The vets here take time to go over all potentail treatment options and are up front with pricing. The staff is super responsive and quick when we ask for them to send records over to groomers, trainers and even other vets offices. We will be coming here

Way beyond 5 Stars, Dr. Jake and his staff are the best, everyone there is so friendly and attentive to all of your needs. We recently had to put one of our Great Danes to sleep, Dr Jake and the girls were the best, explained everything and when it was time everything went smoothly, Kahn went peacefully. Dr. Jake then said a prayer and helped get Kahn together to move him in our truck. Our Family strongly recommends Congress Animal Clinic. Thank you Dr. Jake and Staff. We love you guys.
