Proper eye care is important for people of all ages and regular eye exams are encouraged for everyone, but especially for those already using glasses or contact lenses. Your vision plays a vital role in your life each and every day, which is why it is so important to take the right steps for maintaining good eye health.
If you have insurance, please let us know when you are scheduling your appointment. If possible, give us the information so that we will know exactly what your insurance covers before you come into our office. When it is time for your appointment, we will go over your benefits. If you need eyeglasses or contact lenses, we will be able to discuss what your insurance will pay and what you are required to pay.
Many people prefer to wear contacts instead of eyeglasses. Luckily, as advances are made in the optometry field, more and more people are able to wear contacts to improve their vision. If you are interested in getting contact lenses, it is important to let your eye doctor know since contact lens examinations are not always performed during routine eye checkups.
Computer Vision is a relatively new term within the optometry field and refers to eye problems associated with the prolonged use of computers and electronics that use a digital screen. Although it can be temporary, there are times when computer vision can strain the eyes to a degree that permanently affects your vision as well.

Really love how attentive Dr. Betancourt and the entire team here is. The ladies are all very friendly and eager to help. The staff was very patient with my 14yo who was learning contacts for the 1st time. They did not give up on her and kept trying till we got the best fit! super appreciative of them all. Love that I can come here as well as my family..

Went to see Dr Liliana today, and it was great. I went for a annual eye exam. The staff was very courteous and the appointment was without a wait. Dr Liliana was very thorough and even took photos and had drawn on chart for next years followup. Was very pleased with the kind, prompt and thorough service performed.

The Doctor is amazing which is why I would've give it a 5 stars but don't try to get your old glasses fit with new lenses in there as is a hit or miss. From three pairs they were able to properly do one but they happily charge me for three and told me I will get use to it. Unfortunately the two bad pairs are still bad and there is no sign I will get use to them. Get your prescription and find somewhere else to do your glasses.

Dr McIver is absolutely the best Professional Optometrist in every way that you can imagine, and I will always highly recommend him. His staff is exceptional. Joanne is beyond superb, knowledgeable, and kind hearted. They all go out of their way to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. I have been going to this Optometrist for 8 years+ and I have only had positive experiences here! From the moment I walk in to the second I leave there is always a smiling face; even behind the mask! Dr. McIver is so relatable and does a great job of making you feel comfortable. There are many options for eye wear and it is a beautiful facility. With Covid-19 guidelines I was temperature checked and the seats were nicely spaced apart; but only 4 chairs available to sit in. Regardless I was in and out within an hour and I left with great vision and a smile on my face.

Has adapted great throughout the corona virus period. Went for a vision test, then later returned for a pair of glasses. The staff was great, and very friendly. Their system is efficient, and understands that your time is priority. Both visits were above expectations, and I'll be happy to visit again.

... talk about 'you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone'... I was forced to another optometrist as my employer changed insurance carriers. Oh, boy.
Suffice it to say, I will find a way to keep coming here...

I have been going to Pines vision care with my family for over 20 years.
You never wait for your appointment. The office staff is knowledgeable,friendly, engaging. The selection of glasses is amazing. All the equipment is up to date. The office is clean and comfortable. The doctors are well educated, friendly, and are always up to date with any new procedures on the market. Yes ,I am gushing. Does not happen often that staff, billing,office, and doctors all get an A+ rating!!

The doctor is great. Very nice and attentive guy.
The office staff on the other hand is terrible. They have a bad attitude and seemed irked when I requested multiple adjustments to my new glasses.
They also don't seem to have a grasp on how sound travels in a small office like this. I could hear the conversation about me the receptionist was having with the guy in the rear fixing my glasses.
My new glasses also came with a scratch on one of the lenses and they also didn't seem to care; no attempt to get them fixed with any kind of rush.

We have been patients at Pines Vision Care for many years. I don't see how they could be any better. The Dr's are excellent, patient and attentive. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. They always have suggestions on the most efficient way to buy our contacts and glasses in terms of both our payment and the insurance payment. We always find ourselves running out of contact lenses .... we call the store, go straight round and pick up a new box. If they don't have the right box they give us interim lenses until the right ones arrive. We always feel like we are their only patient

I've been going here for only short time, but the staff has always been very friendly and attentive. Dr. McIver is very professional, and seems to have a pretty good sense of humor. Martha is very nice and has assisted me with choosing the right glasses several times. I trust her judgement. Enjoyed every visit thus far.

I drove from Sunrise to Pembroke Pines to go see the eye Doctors here. I had not seen them since 1996 when I took my child. I knew then that they were loving, kind, and patient. Well one bad experience will send you across town to them.
Their facility is located on West Pines Blvd, West of I-75 and East of 184th in the shopping plaza behind Dunkin Donuts. Their facility is state of the art and immaculate!

I have been a very satisfied client for several years. The staff are professional and helpful. The doctors are kind and thorough and they take their time during the exam , making one feel comfortable and relaxed. Their eyewear are fashionable and they have a good variety. Overall I am one happy client!
