Mind-Body-Spirit Martial Arts
We are a traveling self-defense event company. We help to save and protect people's lives through our self defense workshops, teaching people how to prevent assault, rape, and abduction. We inspire people to go from being victims, to becoming the attacker. Our workshops cover traditional martial arts techniques, and are taught by Grand Master Gene Perceval and his assistant Dan.

We advocate for a world focused on respect, harmony, inspiration, and living in calmness of mind. We travel throughout all of Long Island for our Self-Defense Workshops and we serve Manhattan as well. We individualize our workshops for your social group (family and friends), business, or organization.
Services
My interest and curiosity in the martial arts began in 1952, when I was twelve years old. Whenever I had earned an allowance for doing chores around the house - which was one dollar per week - I sometimes spent it on going to the movies, on a Saturday afternoon. Back then, you could see two main featured movies, a cartoon or two, and a movie-tone (which was about current events and interesting happenings around the world) for fifty cents.
Participants of our women's self defense workshops wrote testimonials on plain sheets of page after each event. We then took a picture of them and posted them here. Please note: To view images in high megapixel format, click (or press) on them first, showing their larger version.

The picture below, shows a gentleman (which he posted on Facebook) holding a magazine depicting Grand Master Gene Perceval in his early years alongside with Grand Master Forrest Blair, pictured on the cover of Official Karate magazine. This gentleman here holding the magazine, looks forward to getting Grand Master Perceval's autograph at an upcoming convention.
This safety and self-defense class is a 90 minute workshop specifically designed for women to effectively learn how to handle assault, rape, and abduction. We inspire participants to become empowered to go from victim, to becoming an attacker against their attacker(s). Some of the class covers awareness and and how to be prepared during certain vicarious situations.
These workshops are catered specifically to the needs of your own social group, business, organization, or local community. The class is taught by Grand Master Gene Perceval, the first black belt in the world to be tested under Tae Kwon Do when it became the new, centralized system. The class is also taught by his assistant, Dan (Gene's son).
While this class is currently not in session, we are looking to start up a new class, so contact us. The drop-in rate is $15.00 for the first two classes. This self-defense class is an ongoing, one hour class that teaches women how to prevent rape, assault, and abduction. While this class is currently not in session, we are looking to start up a new class.

June 2017 marked the completion of 50 years of my participation in the martial arts. Most significantly, my original instructor, and now my current instructor, is Grand Master Eugene Perceval.
I don’t remember how I made my original contact with Grand Master Perceval, but I was extremely lucky to find him and start at the top. I asked him to teach karate at my synagogue. His classes were always interesting, and I came away from each lesson with the feeling that I learned something new. That feeling, now a certainty, has never left me, even after all these years. Every lesson is a step forward
