Originally a New Yorker, Erum now lives with her family in Chicago and has over eight years of experience in renowned hospitals throughout Houston and Chicago. She acquired her B.S. in nursing from Loyola University and her doctorate in advanced nursing practice from Rush University in Chicago. She is passionate about integrating health and healing within her practice using a whole body approach to all demographics.
She believes in the healing powers of mindfulness and gratitude on the body and incorporates these in her practice in a wholesome and compassionate manner. In her spare time, Erum volunteers at multiple organizations including Taleef, IMAN, and Imana. She loves to travel and explore the diversity of cultures and landscapes throughout the world.

NUR Skincare is a passion project. It began when founder Anisa Noor was just a teen and figured out how to make lotions, scrubs, and other basic skincare supplies and handed them out to friends and family. Soon afterward, she began formulating using complex methods and incorporating various ingredients for specific skin conditions.
Our onsite formulations lab is a throwback allowing Anisa to have fun with creating her line of basic, all natural home care products that complement the hi-tech treatments we offer in our clinic. Here we produce everything from homemade soaps, masks, scrubs, and other great all natural skincare products.
The aesthetic of NUR Skincare was designed with meticulous attention to detail using elements of Sufi Art and Architecture as inspiration to provide a cultural connection to our roots.

A low to medium strength AHA, BHA, or combination peel is used in order to break apart the hardened, protein bonds that connect the dried, dead skin cells in the outer layers of your skin. Because these bonds are so strong, a chemical solvent is needed to break through them - a simple scrub will not do the job.
Thank you for experiencing the NUR treatment. Your skin has undergone an extensively deep exfoliating and conditioning treatment that may have included a chemical peel. If your treatment did not include a peel, it may still experience dryness, redness, and overall sensitivity and should be treated with gentle care as directed below.

I have been going to NUR Skincare for almost 3 years and the difference is amazing. I am acne prone and have hyperpigmentation so these facials really have done wonders for my skin. Everyone compliments me on my skin now. While the price may be high, the quality of the experience and the results are worth every penny. It is hard to get facials from other places because they just are not as good, thorough or effective as the 12 step you get from NUR Skincare. I cannot recommend this place enough if you want cleaner, clearer, more vibrant and healthy skin.

This is a very special place that is both nurturing and results orientated. I’ve done both the 12 step and Microneedling and you get so much bang for your buck with these treatments. The setting is lovely, parking is easy, and this is my go-to recommendation for people who want to see dramatic improvements in their skin!

Blown away by this space, the grace of the owner and the woman who performed my treatment, and my service. I've done microneedling before and it did not come with the extra additions of oxygen and LED light, which were a welcome bonus at Nur. She also used longer needles and I already feel like it has made more of a positive, desired impact. I cannot wait to see how my skin continues to improve!!! Also, I was almost 10 minutes late after an appointment downtown ran long...they did not rush me and the beautiful atmosphere truly made me feel at peace. I just need to find a way to afford coming

My skin has shown significant improvement. Its definitely more healthy and supple. My dull and tired skin is refreshed and glowing. My NUR experience was phenomenal. I'm so happy with my skin and feel like this is the best it's ever been. Anisa is such a sweetheart. She is generous in her hosting and professional with her work. The way I saw it, I had two options to heal my skin:
1) Avant-garde, cutting-edge care, or
2) Blood pressure drugs prescribed off label for acne
Knowing that all good things heal in time, I decided to make patience my ally and take the natural route... To me, this is real medicine, for it requires less and less of it as one gains exposure to its potency. I do not feel co-dependent on Anisa

First of all, I have to mention that the place is GORGEOUS, in terms of design and detail!! My son had an appointment with Anisa to help remedy his teenage skin challenges. The amount of time and attention he was given was above and beyond! I could tell she genuinely cares to help people and was extremely thorough throughout the service. She explained everything she was going to do and prepared him for what would come of it. He will continue to see her for a series of 6 treatments. He's looking forward to his return and is feeling great! I will review again to comment on the results after
