Dr. Barry A. Winston received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1974 from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Te. Dr. Jerry M. Winston received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1967 from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennes. Dr. Samuel A. Winston is the third generation of the Winston family to practice optometry and the newest member of the Win.
Winston Eye and Vision Center is a family owned and operated optometric practice. This year we celebrate 70 years of caring for Knoxville's eyes. The doctors at Winston Eye are primary eye care providers that pride themselves on caring for the overall health of the eye.
Our hope is that patients love coming to the eye doctor each year, whether it is to choose a beautiful frame, update a contact lens prescription, or follow-up on a chronic condition of the eye.Our pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff make your time spent at our office enjoyable. An estimated 90 percent of eye injuries could be prevented through the use of proper protective eyewear on the job, according to the National Eye Institute.

Winston Eye and Vision's Services are unmatched. The optical is stocked with beautiful brand eyewear and our in-house lab allows our patients to get their glasses fast. I'm 30 years old now, and have been wearing glasses since I was 4. Eye doctors have been a part of my life as long as I can remember, but none have been as awesome as Dr. Sam Winston. Dr. Sam actually cares about me as a patient, and takes the time to explain everything and actually listen to my concerns or input. The whole office staff is pleasant to deal with, AND they can do an exam without having to dilate your eyes! I'm so glad I found this group, and wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone!

We see Dr. Rust and he has been nothing but personable and knowledgeable. He’s easy to get into and really explains your diagnosis. Which is very important while dealing with our 8 year old who eyes are growing and changing. He has treated me and my husband. Ordering glasses and contacts has been super easy. The reason for 4 stars is it seemed like they didn’t have a lot of options of glasses for youth. They do carry baby glasses if that’s needed. They had tons for adults.

I've worn glasses my whole life and made the decision to finally get contacts. Terri took the time to show me how to take them in and out and coached me through the same process. It helped me sooo much. I felt so comfortable through the whole exam. Their frame selection is really nice as well if you need new frames.

I've been coming here since I was a kid (nearly 40 years) and I have always been treated well, never remember a very long wait. I wear contacts and they always have them in stock. They also have a machine that scans the eye so for a little extra you can even avoid the drive home with dialated pupils. I highly recommend them and I would never go anywhere else. Love these guys!

Doctor were great but not their Optometrists. I waited almost 2 months for my glasses. I called them after 3 weeks and they said they will call me back later, they never did call me back, I have to call them again. They keep telling me it will be here next week or it will be here soon and it just keep getting later and later. So don't expect your glasses any time soon.

I've been coming here for years, a decade or more. Love these guys! I even referred friends and family and they have all had equally pleasant experiences. If you let the receptionist know that you have limited time, they can work with you to get an appointment not during their busiest hours. Everyone here is pleasant and I feel as though the doctors take better care of my eyes than at your mall/retail locations.
