S48R Extended Life Global (HOAT) is an organic acid fully formulated extended life Ethylene Glycol antifreeze / coolant meeting ASTM D-3306. Hoat chemistry combines the best of conventional, inorganic with the addition of an organic acid to provide the ultimate protection against rust and corrosion.
The S48R POLY ULTRA (Organic Acid Technology) was developed to fulfill the needs of a non-nitrite, non-amine, non-phosphate, (NAPS free) non-silicate type chemistry. S48R POLY ULTRA depletes much slower than conventional and OAT (dex-cool) type chemistries. Some automotive engine OEM's manufacturers have elected to have a NAPS free type of chemistry in their coolant line.
